I have known FloridaRob for many many years.  I think I met him the first time in Brazil but have seen him on multiple trips in Brazil and in Thailand.  I always tease him as I'll be in a sauna in Rio or Sao Paulo and he will be there.  He travels more than I do. LOL

 

I knew he was in town and we met up for dinner. He said he wanted to try a place near Soi Twilight and we tried Madrid based on reports on this board.

 

Madrid is on the soi as the Patpong night market and if you were not looking for it, you would have missed it.

 

There were 4 of us as my two Thai boys like Rob and think he is funny.   We order 2 large pizza's at about 400 baht each.  We got one Supreme and one Hawaiian. 

 

The crust was very thin but the pizza was excellent.  We ordered a third just to finish out our night. It was quite lovely.

 

The boys even liked the pizza.  I thought it was good pizza and a place I'll happily go back.

 

I was glad Rob had suggested the place.  It is always good to see old friends and have good food and good conversation.  Rob has been around the world and although I can't keep up with his pace of nightlife, it was good to see him on another trip to LOS.

 

 

Thanks for the review.  We tried the Madrid tonight for dinner.  Larb Gai Pizza Spicy was excellent and not spicy for larb, but perfect for pizza.  Lasagna and chicken wings got rave reviews as well.  The place reminds me of the hole in the wall taverns we frequented in the US years ago.  The people were very friendly and the clientele interesting.  We all had a very enjoyable meal and hospitality.

without any exaggeration Madrid Tavern's  pizza is only one I like  in the entire world .I was introduced to the place by ChristianPFC, praise his name.

Was there the end of last Sept...MUCH smaller place, no large pizzas....I forget the owner's name, but she remembered @vinapu  also said she appreciates that we talk and promote her place, I just told her a bunch of farangs, didn't mention we were all whores, but she probably already knows since it was Vinapu we were talking about 😝

She can do more dishes if you call ahead and let her know you are coming, I think she was talking about Thai dishes.

agree with first part but somehow doubt about second as I drag my guys there very rarely , perhaps grand total twice. I usually dine there with forum friends or alone if find myself hungry in the area. 

Last time I tried to order different pizza that my usual and  she was shocked what's wrong with me so I changed order to normal one.
