Construction work in Boys Town

Featured Replies

The construction work in boystown started. Just for your information when deciding to stay in boystown.

There is some noise from the construction from time to time.

Last week I noticed the heavy equipment and huge drainage pipes on Pattayaland Soi2. However, access to Abomb from second road was unhindered. Soi 1 was well paved, job completed.

I am back in Pattaya in a couple of weeks time, just wondered if anyone knows if the Boys Town Soi is all open on an evening as normal, can you still enjoy a few on the terraces and are all the bars open as normal?

Yes, to your question. In a couple of weeks all will be back to normal.

I do hope you are right.

However the work started last November in the third Soi along and was completed there in January I believe.

The next Soi and the interconnecting Soi where Vassa used to be were then started and are still not complete.

The Boyztown Soi was started about three weeks ago.

As I say I hope you are right, but I cannot see it being finished before the other Soi, and certainly not in two weeks.

Thanks guys, guess looks a bit of a mess!

Are the bars still open and doing there best so can you still walk down "all be it carefully" at night and enjoy a drink outside and visit the bars?

Question:

How long will this project take?

Is there a planned completion date?

I may be visiting Thailand in March and very often, I would tease Western farangs when I parade around in my short shorts...I certainly won't find it conducive to walk the soi in such a condition.... there isn't much pavement on the sides!

Going to get messy with upcoming rainy season but I still miss the place.

Especially with the daytime construction workers now :)

Just need LCR to reopen ...
