Bangkok Host Clubs

Featured Replies

These seem to be loosely modelled on the Japanese host club model. Loosely because the young handsome Japanese hosts develop a more personal relationship with clients that involves a lot of pampering and flattering of the ladies and drinking very expensive alcohol. Sex is usually not on the menu and most hosts do not want to go that far as they consider it will end the relationship. They prefer to keep teasing.  Some of the Japanese boys are showered with expensive gifts including apartments and cars and can become extremely wealthy.

This documentary filmed 2 years ago interviews Japan's top host and some of his customers. He realises he is selling dreams but he has to continue to do so while getting his clients to drink to make his commissions. One 19 year old college student says she regularly buys $700 bottles of champagne when she is with him. In the month he was named Japan's top host, she lashed out $110,000 in cash on a Crystal Magnum decanter of Louis XIII cognac!
