This site's forums are less inviting than they could be. I'm referring to how a login is required to view images in forum postings. The 'keep me logged in for 2 weeks' option does not work when I try it.

People will always view more than they post, and if viewing is a hassle then they may not stick around long enough to post. If you want participation, why are you hiding the images?

I suspect the images being required by login is probably saving the website owners from potential legal problems in keeping under age people from viewing the pics. I would suspect that is the reason and frankly that is a good reason. Why the login doesn't stay on is another problem that I can't explain.

Normally, I try to read and respond to all posts but on my return trip from Thailand 10 days ago, I got seafood poisoning and had to go to the hospital and spend several miserable days traveling. I have just settled down for a long winter's nap in LA.

I agree. Unfortunately, posting for most escorts, IMO, is a no win proposition. All too frequently in the past, escorts have been drawn into minor controversies either by an irate client wannabe or maybe another escort posting under an anonymous non de plume or just by someone with a different opinion. It can easily get out of hand. Eventually someone always manages to lob a broadside at an escort who hangs around for long. But escorts have reputations and a business to hurt whereas other posters do not. Some posters take advantage of that to take a piece out of a working guy. I don't know why. I cannot explain the phenomenon.

Escort posters that successfully navigate the treacherous waters are usually bit more mature and possess a good sense of humor to disarm potentially inflammatory situations. Some cultivate a coven of supporters that help them weather attacks on the site. Other who don't have an organized following tend to limit their participation to an occasional basis to keep themselves from becoming a target.

In my observations over the years, the most successful long term high profile escort posters usually receive some sort of sympathetic support from site management. That may extend to some behind the scenes mediation with troublesome parties or more. Few escorts hang around for long taking continuing grief and flaming from other posters although some few do come to mind. Eventually they leave too or scale way back their appearances.

So particpating is a bit of a high wire act for escorts with potential benefits and pitfalls. They put their business on the line and their income too when they do it. It is not surpising that most do not see an ovewhelming upside to posting on a regular basis.

Yes...I'm saddened often by posts that Oz made and then how some other poster said sometimes posters will lob comments anonymously at other escorts.

IMO (that's in my opinion so keep that in mind) So much of everything on the sites and the get-togethers and everything else is based on posturing, status and other things. When I started out on the boards as a small fish, I often felt there was no room for me. Now that I'm a slightly bigger fish, I realize the other fish have gotten even bigger. Eventually you realize it's a losing battle.

As I said, Im saddened about how people are cruel to each other on the boards or how escorts might not want to be fair and equitable (dont put up the negative review) across the board. I think that in the end this all hurts us as a person. However typically people are too short-sighted in their own lives and wants to think about any of that until it's way way too late. All I can say is that I believe things happen for a reason and I partially believe in karma. I think that people who do dishonest things or lead dishonest lives will eventually have things catch up with them. Oh sure, they'll have lots of fun getting to that point but it's still gonna hurt pretty bad when the karma comes back and hits them in the face.

I don't feel that there will ever be a totally perfect system of course. People are people. At their base instincts, they are selfish and will cheat on taxes, buy a paper to submit for a college thesis or a myriad of other things. It doesn't mean that we're all bad all the time because typically we may mellow with age. What it does mean is that you have to understand and look at why people do what they do and keep their desires/loves/hates/motivations in mind to get along in life.

OH! Heres a true story and I am telling you guys this because I know that it will make me look all that much sexier to all of you. When I was younger (for some years), I had to wear an eyepatch in addition to glasses that I was wearing.
