Agreed. The 80s was viewed as a bit of a musical desert. I remember being glued to MTV in the early 80s. Sting stands out, but few others. There were some great British bands--at least they seemed great at the time. I guess technology invaded the pop scene, which created some exciting bands--and could hit faults.
