Patience, young Skywalker, patience. Results aint due until Sunday.

Although Lurker deleted your best category.

Life ain't fair.

Boy am I disappointed. I try to come up with what I believe to be a fun way to get some activity going here. I spend time creating categories.. Yet so few people take the couple of minutes to participate. At present time, only 4 people have responded with their votes.. And out of those 4, many of the "regular posters" are not there.

I can definitely relate to the past postings of Lucky. I want Boytoy to be successful. I want it to be popular. But more and more, I feel like it is a dying breed here. Only a handful of people post with any regularity. What I see is what is so prevalent in society today--a sit back and observe mentality with no one willing to step forward and actively participate. "I don't have to do anything, because the next person will"...

Love him or hate him, Lucky was (at the height of his career), a very active poster who started discussions, added to discussions, and kept discussions going. And now (or should i say FOR now) he is gone. And honestly, I too, am considering taking some time off because these boards are not "fulfilling" anymore. The camaraderie isn't here much anymore. The "invisible bonds" that I used to feel here are not present anymore, at least to me..Tomcal was a regular poster in the past.. He too has cut his postings down to a bare minimum.. His reason, as explained to me, is basically the same as what I am stating--the place has changed and doesn't have the "down home" feeling it had at one time..

I am very sorry that you and others seem to feel that way. It continues to have a very much "down home" feeling to me. Sure I would like some more travel "adventures" and some more escort escapades and some more posters chiming in on "whatever" but it seems that forums ebb and flow like the tide (not Alabama) and those cycles will begin and end again. That is what I predict and what I hope.

Nothing is perfect and this forum is no exception. Those who wish to participate and post will find milk and honey by being here.

If you don't know someone who is the south end of a north bound horse, your circle of friends is deficient. ^_^

Best regards,

RA1

Complaining about the site is NOT gonna improve it, and we have seen our fair share of ""announced" departures.

Lurker, if you are not feeling the site and wish to leave, it is much more respectable to do so without all the Fanfare. Or are you looking for the members to beg you to reconsider and stay ?

I agree, your "Headie" contest was a cute idea and could have been really fun, but if people werent into it, they werent into it....

I could spend 4 hrs preparing and posting a picture gallery, get 80 views, 1 comment and perhaps 2 "likes". That's just the way it is....

Anytime a member has tried to "rally the troops", (ie: You and Lucky) to participate, it is met with resistance and has backfired.

The only times the troops seem to rally is when there is a good, juicy fight going on. Then people seem to come out of the woodwork and have plenty to say....

So what's the moral of the story here? People will find their own way and speed on these sites and should just be left alone... Each member takes what they want and need from the site.

And as I have said many times before to gentlemen like you and Lucky, if this site doesnt fit your needs, create your own and run it as you want. That way, you have noone to blame for its success or failure but yourself.

Although Lurker deleted your best category.

He also deleted mine: Member who posts the most but says the least. :D

We await the results with breathing bait!

During the past three months, I've come here almost daily and have found a paucity of respondents! Perhaps when the weather changes in this country to fall and winter-- the guys will return and post and post and post!

It's such an honor just to be nominated!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all my loyal fans without whom none of this would have been possible.

They may also, should it please them, observe the Right Honorable Gentleman from Mississippi straining after original effect.

Not sure if those like moi who nominated folks last week are supposed to vote again, so I decided to consult with Hanging Chad, my Statistically Significant Other.

boyzinho-roludo_thumb.jpg

He suggested sending some more votes to Lurkerspeaks who can use 'em if he likes and toss 'em if he don't. Naturally, I'm prostrate with gratitude for the advice and other assorted kindnesses.
