last night i went to the gay club that is about 6 blocks from my house. i ran into the guy who i met twice before and who i really like who works there,  we had a few drinks together and the i left about 12:30 am to go home. at 8:30 this morning there was loud knocking at my door and i thought it was the guys to repair the solar so i jumped out of bed and it was the guy from the bar!  He obviously didn’t go home after he got off at 4:00 a.m. and came in and climbed into bed and immediately fell asleep!  he finally woke up at noon and we fooled around and talked and he left at 1:00pm and said “thanks see you later tonight?!”. i have a dinner date tonight but may move things around i really like this guy!! 

What's the name of this gay club?  I am visiting Merida in April.  I was under the impression that there is not much of gay scene in Merida.  I didn't find any decent gay clubs based on Google reviews.  So I plan to spend most of my time just sightseeing, and perhaps try my luck on Grindr.

My straight friends joke and say about 90% of Merida is Gay, lol

There are others, but Rush and PK2 seem to be the best now,,,,just keep an eye on your phone and wallet. Also, if you invite one of the guys that work there for a drink, ask the price so there is no misunderstandings ...they are more than the regular price because they get a cut.... and most are not gay, some MIGHT go before work or their day off...but many promise and never come through...they just want you to keep buying them beers,lol

If you speak Spanish is better, otherwise will be Google Translate. Invite someone for a beer at a close by bar and if they accept, they know whats going on....if they decline, their not working guys.

Last night, my last night in Merida, i had planned on finishing up some minor work on the house, have dinner with one of the guys i met this week who i really liked and get to bed by 10:00 as I had to be at the airport at 6:00 am,  but it didn't happen!  I had set up a dinner date with a guy i had been with several times and he said he would come by at 6:00 to pick me up for dinner.  At 5:30 a got a message on grindr from a guy who said "Grindr shows i am very close to your house!"  I looked at his profile  and he was 27 and handsome!  I told him i was going out to dinner in a 1/2 hour unfortunately, and he says "then there will only be enough time for a couple of kisses!" So he came over 5 minutes later, and he was better looking in person! When my dinner date arrived i asked him if he would be ok if he came along and he said no problem!  This guy was from Mexico city and visiting his mother.  after dinner we parted as the one guy was meeting friends to go to a club and i said i had to finish packing and get up early for my flight home.  but it wasn't going to happen!  at 10:00 i got a message on grindr from a guy who looked cute was 25 and a civil engineer for the city.  he came over at 11:00 pm and we had great conversation until 1:00 am and then we went to bed and were still awake when the alarm went off at 5:00!  I can't wait until my next trip!
