January 15, 20197 yr So far a really good start to the new season. Mahershala Ali Stephen Dorff Love both of these guys. Do you remember The Power of One?
January 16, 20197 yr Active Members Dorff is underused. Made somewhat of a comeback in the excellent film Somewhere (2010) but that movie did not get a whole lot of attention. Glad to see him dusted off, a good fit for True Detective.
January 27, 20197 yr Active Members Mahershala Ali is my biggest man crush! Never watched True Detective before but will do for him alone!

February 3, 20197 yr Author I will say that the performances of both main characters are truly fantastic to watch. As they go back and forth in time, I love seeing the older male versions and their story that is interwoven through history. Well written show with amazing acting and great story.
February 11, 20197 yr Author Great summary of episode 6 in this link. Damn, this show is just amazing acting by both lead characters. It is a true lesson in Master Acting. https://www.indiewire.com/2019/02/true-detective-review-season-3-episode-6-hunters-in-the-dark-spoilers-1202042855/
