January 7, 200917 yr I wonder what has happened to Khun Meechai? Nothing has happened to him. He is still promoting condom use, not only for disease prevention, but also for birth control. I saw him a few months back at Cabbages & Condoms in Pattaya. He has several restaurants around Thailand. Most Thais, when referring to condoms, say "meechai".
January 7, 200917 yr Yeah, that's going to stop a lot of barebacking in Thailand! The gay activist who proposed closing down Thai saunas certainly has the best interests of young gay people in mind. But to my mind all that will do is drive them 'underground'. Far better if sauna owners can be persuaded actively to promote a safe sex message, with large posters, leaflets, condoms and lube available, as at Babylon.
January 8, 200917 yr Free condoms would make it much easier for everyone involved. Free condoms might help but if they do not understand the risk of barebacking, all the free condoms in the world will not help.
January 8, 200917 yr I think they get the risks, but for some reason assume that if they catch it, meds will keep them alive forever. Have you read any of the online bareback blogs? Bareback Top and some of the people writing blogs he links to seem to simply not care.
January 8, 200917 yr The problem is many young people think they are invincible and bad things won't happen to them. That's why they engage in unsafe sex, speed on motorbikes, drink and drive and use drugs.
