Hi guys, have been using this site for a while as non member and had some great tip/advice about travelling in Egypt and Marrakesh. I am going to Essaouira Morocco soon and wondered if anyone has any experience there ti share. Was unable to find anything for this area on the site. Thanks for all the previous posts and input you have all shared. 

I have not been Gaz69 but a little searching has me intrigued...I'll be following this thread and hope to learn a lot.

Hi Lonnie thanks for your input, I had read that online before I posted here but was hoping to find other guys personal experiences of the place.  I probably should have just stuck to Marrakesh I think.

Yes, if anyone has the lowdown, it would be Santiagodc!  I have visited Essouiria as a day trip from Marrakech.  It was an easy bus ride & I really liked the place so I'd say it's definitely worth a visit.  If you wanted a more laid-back, relaxed place than Marrakech, it might be worth staying for a while.

It was a LONG time ago I went....went to a hammam and 2 young guy friends (bf?) were bathing each other, in shorts. Kind of hot watching and they were watching me. I acted like I couldn't wash my back and they offered to help. No one else paid attention, like it was normal. Then they helped bathe me all over with their hands and a sponge, going inside my shorts in front and back caressing my everything, I think 1 of the guys came just from doing that because he shortly got up and went to the bathroom. However, they are hot guys and the most non-Muslim, Muslim's there are. I went another time during Ramadan, that's when most try to be Muslim and I wouldn't even think about going during Ramadan again.

Thanks for that. I’m actually in Tunisia next month during Ramadan, big mistake I think. Hadn’t realised it was holy month when I booked it last year. Almost cancelled last week but would lose almost everything. So off I go.

Just enjoy the hospitality of the locals during ramadhan. Free food during iftar (breaking the fast) is common. There is no religious restriction on sex during the night though. Of course, gay sex is illegal all year round anyway hehe.
