There was a very small amount of blood in my mouth, which I didn’t notice until looking in the mirror. And hep c virus survives much longer outside the body than hiv. Saliva inhibits hiv also, which is why there are very few recorded cases of hiv from giving oral. I don’t know how transmissible hepc c is when blood is swallowed though. Obviously direct blood to blood is the worst risk. Can stomach acid kill the hep c virus? Or can it find its way into the blood stream and not be inhibited by saliva? I don’t know. The only good news about hep c, is that Merk created a drug with a very high cure rate relatively recently. Before it was only about a 25% cure rate.
