I'm in Rome this summer, but there doesn't seem to be a big gay scene here. Is anyone familiar with any places for trade in Rome?

There is (was?, not sure, Google is not clear) a theater, Ambasciatori, IIRC, not too far from Termini Station with rumanian guys, quite pushy but somehow interesting 🙂

It's been awhile, but I've picked up guys at a small park between Termini and Repubbilca . Is mostly for cars cruising around the block that will stop and pick up the guys, but I did it on foot. Mostly Romanians but I got a guy from Milan there too.....gotta be very specific with the Romanian guys as they are full of lies and look to say, they didn't agree to something, when you thought they did. I also avoid guys with backpacks and duffle bags....no knowing what's inside or what they plan on putting inside.

Not recent, usually later at night...after 9pm.

Hey guys. Just for an update, I'm back from Rome.

I didn't visit the cinema. I saw a video online where an Italian journalist visited Ambasciatori and got into a dangerous situation, which put me off.

However, I did find a great Italian guy on Hunqz, who was briefly visiting Rome before moving on to another city. I met him twice.

I also had a look at the park mentioned above, once, in the early evening, and saw 4 or 5 Romanian-looking guys. Only one of them was attractive. But I had my online guy booked anyway, so I didn't follow it up any further.

Great city, and I did get lucky with the hunqz guy, but aside from that not a lot of trade

I lived in Rome for 12 years - up until 2016.

The main cruising areas that I knew about were (there are more than 40 of them):

  Villa Borghese park - not far within the park from the main entrance when walking in from Corso d'Italia (night time after dark)

  Monte Caprino - near the part that overlooks the Foro Romano ruins (night time after dark)

  Parco Palombini - this park is in the EUR part of Rome south.  In this park I had many fun times.

  Il Buco Capocotta - out at the gay beach south of Lido di Ostia - good place to meet gays on the beach and to have fun in the dunes

Sex was one of the many possibilities.

haha to be honest I am on the same page with you. Cruising is exciting but sec on public just... not as clean & safe as I expected. 

 

Any insight for the Sauna and dos and don'ts? I already learned it from the interview like membership card, which place to go etc.

I scored at the Villa Borghese park twice, both during the daytime.   One guy was a local, about my age (50’s), and the other was a young Colombian guy in his 20’s and hot!  One of my better cruising experiences.   We even went for a beer in the park canteen afterwards.
