I spent the last  couple of days reading this stories from you guys. Wow seems like you guys are having so much fun.  I really want to thank you for taking the time  share your stories and experiences. I especially  enjoyed  reading about the adventures of blukmansuperman(sorry if I got your name wrong) Anyways  guys I plan on coming to Santa Domingo  in March. I have spoken to Manny and he seems like a  cool  he told me to text him when I'm  3 weeks of from booking my trip which I understand  and I appreciate you guys for the hook up.  What I really wanted to know is do u guys prefer a hotel or airnb? I personally will be traveling alone  so I prefer to stay somewhere with a 24 hour security.  Please give me recommendations on where to stay. As always safe travels my fellow horney bitches. P.S. little about me I'm 32 black  I'm social worker so My budget is bit limited FYI. Sorry about my grammar I'm typing this on my phone.  If any one wants to share  their dos and don'ts  please let me know  I'm trying to  get have as much sex as I can lol

I stayed in an airbnb in the colonial zone, a very well taken care of older single family home, 2 beds and 2 baths.  No security. Street level 1 floor house, i parked my car out front never had any issues with anything.

Thank you for replying back to me @travelinbro I was wondering if yiu can give me a cost break down. I was thinking about staying for ten days. Also i was wondering as im trying to have sluty ten days did u feel safe having no security to call upon in case something happened to the guys visiting you.

You seem to be mighty trusting.  This will be your first visit to this country and city.  Are you conversant in Spanish?  I would not stay in any place w/o some sort of security, especially if I don't know the landscape or much about the city where I am.  But, the decision is yours...

Perhaps you could post and ask the veterans what they'd do if they were in your shoes.     ...no security.  ...no auto.    language facility?  etc.

I completely agree. Try the Boutique Hotel Palacio. It's in the heart of zona colonial and they check the of the person. NOT sure If they keep the ID, but they for sure check for ID (identification, not the lube). LOL!

If someone doesn't have any identification,  they can't get in and its probably best that you steer clear of anyone without any identification.  A few years ago they had a friendly, amazing, chubby, dark skin Dominican who worked security at the hotel.

Manny can pick you up from the airport and take you out to clubs to meet guys. He also has some guys you might be interested in. The key is to be safe so having a place with some type of sector is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, my friend. Hope you have fun!

On topic: my preference would be an Airbnb. I don't use one with security, but one where you have private street acces to. I don't want any nosy interference from service staff. However, I must stress that it is a personal choice after traveling many time to South-American destination and being able to communicate in Spanish. I do not in any way say that having a reception that is checking ID's is luxury or a useless thing. Not at all! I simply find it hard to know in advance if a place is open to the fact that you receive visitors. Finding out in advance is a must. You don't want to end up in a place with a North-Korean style surveillance and security team!

There are some ground rules for sluts like us when it comes to having fun with South-American/Caribbean studs in your Airbnb regarding to safety:

1. Always make sure that your most valueble items are well locked and stowed away. Passport, credit cards, the bulk of your cash money. The travel safe from Pacsafe (no sponsoring) keeps my mind at ease. I do however alway have some cash present to give a guys some extra for a taxi; just to smoothen the process. This besides any pre-negotiated deal. 
2. For any first meeting (e.g. via Grindr) be sure to meet outside in a public place. After you've been with a guy you can invite them directly to your place. 
3. Always ask for their 'cédula', their ID card. EVERYONE from the RD has to carry one at all time by law! If a guy doesn't present a cédula or has a bullshit story of loosing it, abort your slutty mission instantly. Trust me: it is bullshit and they have something to hide. You check this as you meet them as described in point 2. My advise is to make a photo of the cédula and email it to yourself directly. If anything dodgy occurs, at least you have the copy of the cédula in your (G)mail history. I tell my studs I have to 'register their visit to my building owner' when I email it. It is common practice to ask for a cédula btw and it's not frowned upon.
4. Mention the security cams of your building, even if you don't have them...
5. Last but not least: listen to that little voice in your head...not that horny voice in your dickhead... If a guy is too good to be true; than he is just that. If a guy looks dodgy, he probably is and so on and so on...

Now, street cruising is a big part of my Santo Domingo Colonial Zone day entertainment. I do pick up some prime meat from the streets occasionally and do a test drive with them at an hourly hotel. The guys know where to find  them. There is one close to Paco Cafetaria (Grand's) called Hotel Bella Mar. I's sleazy...but hey...so are we. This is a very safe option keeping some distance between you and the guy. If you like him you can always follow the steps above.

*tap on wood* I have thus far never encountered a bad situation where I had (serious) safety concerns. Don't think that my guard goes down because of that. It doesn't. But following the required safety rules keeps you much more relaxed in your adventures. And yes, at least learn some Spanish to get by!
