February 9, 20242 yr Author Active Members The "gays" on the list are fascinating. The party was in 1966, and Stonewall didn't happen until 1969. Not many, if any, were out of the closet in 1966. How convenient (and devious) to make it a masked party. Candace Bergen shares a fashion tidbit from the party. She ended up wearing Halston's white mink bunny mask that was intended for Marisa Berenson, who decided to wear something else.
