There will be an open bar happily provided by Rainwalker in gratitude for the information and amusement so freely provided by the good folks that contribute here in the hope that we all remember that there are more things that unite us than divide us and that we are ultimately a band of reprobates (or brothers or sisters or whatever).

This invitation is extended to all Friends of Gay Forums to join together in brotherhood and/or alcoholic stupor and/or whatever

The event takes place during the Pattaya Gay Festival Final Four days: November 30 - December 3, 2006

Thanks Rainwalker for the invitation. You are very generous. I will have to skip the proctogical exam but I will be happy to enter the fashion show with my latest Hawaiian shirt, shorts and white socks with sandals.

I have been enjoying the bloody marys at Memories and missed them during September when Memories when fishing.. They give you the ingredients and you can spice it up to exactly your

preference and it is in a nice sized glass.. a well known cafe that claims to have the best bloody mary

is not even close althou they do use a celery stick.. Memories is also tops with margaritas and other mixed drinks and make a mean hamburger and other tasty meals and they do it without endless promotion and just good quality, good sized portions and good service..cute waiters a big plus..

 

Rainwalker a great host but guys, don't forget to find him and say hello and introduce yourselves.. He is someone you will want to meet..

A great idea Rainwalker. I will be there and enjoy the event.

How about having a box of labels which people who wish to, may affix to themselves so that others can see who they are talking to. Not compulsory, of course, but I'm sure you and I would be happy to wear one.

I have asked Khun Oud, the proprietor of Memories, to get name tags for the willing and think that I will show up in disguise, arrive incognito as it were, so my name tag will read Ida Lipschitz (Mrs.)

Or, should I feel particularly lovely that day, I'll be wearing a name tag that says Wonder Woman!!!

Thank you for the free offer. I am sure all of Pattaya will be there except for Catawampus as he tends to avoid the Plaza like the plague. It would be horrible for him to sit and memories and look across at Monty's Pool and see all the young guys there he can't seem to get off his mind. Hello, is there a addiction counselor in the house?

.As catwampuscat is out of the country trolling the Malls of V,irginia I will have to try to make an appearance Ill sit quietly at the back as usual a wilting Violet you will not even notice me.

Please remember today to take a large number of incriminating photographs and post then liberally to the board.

Its all very funny after world wide advertising on every gay forum in the world, no write up at all it was for the members of forums and as only so few came it seems no one can put pen to paper and give us the low down, we have the photos but I see many of the vitriol flamers dont want to put a name to there name tag, they were hiding in the shadow shame not many members in the country that is all I can think of but what a nice gesture at a least a few will know who to give much thanks to now. so he will be happy at last.

Just a short note to thank the estimated 75 people for showing up at Memories and sharing ideas and resources - and gossip and fun - with a variety of friends, old and new.

 

The number of attendees was about the same as last year but the drink consumption was up by 20 %. Margaritas were the drink of choice followed by Gin and Tonic then Johnnie Walker Black Label.

 

The buzz in the bar was positive and it was gratifying to see that, even though there are basically unremarkable children that lay claim to bandwidth and show up on the boards, there are good folks - adult, intelligent, articulate, and alert - who make up the vast bulk of the virtual community that is gay thailand.

 

Thanks guys, you make coming here rich and deep and textured and I'm glad we are all part of the magic.

I'm not so sure the 75 guests actually represent the real posters on boards..how could you tell if they won't own up to who they are ?

 

That doesn't detract from your generosity or their good beahiour and ability to have fun. ( and a drink)

 

Maybe they were the really nice people who don't actually post in fear of being shot down in flames !

OK, I was one. Rainwalker spekith the truth. I noticed that the food was disapearing at a fast rate too, maybe because it was very good.

My Thai friend and I arrived about 5 pm. At first we could not even find a seat. Many others were standing too. I met many new people. It was really enjoyable. I had one gin and tonic and my Thai friend had a soda water. Niddy's delivered food a few times. I had some fruit and chicken wings. I was surprised at the number of people from the Los Angeles area that were present. Everyone had on a small name tag. My Thai friend and I left about 6:30 pm. It was still packed. This was the first time I attended.

 

It was nice to meet Rainwalker. Thanks for the great day!
