August 15, 20242 yr Does anyone have any experience with Calle del Pecado? I’ve seen some things online about “Prepagos” but not for the “faint of heart”. Curious about what faint of heart means- safety… too good to be true…..???? If I were to go, what can I expect? Thanks!
August 16, 20242 yr Google says it's Barbacoas Street and a newspaper story says specifically it's a place to find trans women who are sex workers. Although it may include all kinds of sexual services. I'm sure there are people on this site who have personal experience of what happens there.
August 16, 20242 yr If we are talking about the small street/calle with a few gay bars to the Northeast of the Cathedral - also known as Calle 57a - it is def a hustler area, but I didn’t notice any trans sex workers there during my visits. The area is indeed quite rough and I saw a few street hustler guys who I would expect to be available for pay. The calle is dead during the day but comes to life in Friday and Saturday evening/nights when the bars, club etc are busy. If into street hustlers/rough trade just go to nearby Parque Bolivar during the afternoon (should be avoided after dark/at night due to risk of getting mugged). Several available guys there and they know the nearby short time/love hotels. Leave your phone and valuables at home/in the room!

This has been discussed extensively here but I can't find the start of the exchange. I have been there personally several times, but there are better options. The street is Calle 57a between Avenida Oriental and Carrera 47. The main bars are El Machete and Kanahan's bar. The old restaurant where the boys worked right on the park closed during the pandemic and was non-operational as of this month. I don't recommend visiting as this barrio is not particularly safe after dark. Others here have argued against that so do with that what you want. Here is a map of the Calle del pecado in Medellin. August 17, 20242 yr Calle 57a, bars etc have been addressed a few times but long time ago, may have been pre-Covid.
