Moving On

Featured Replies

When the board was sold, I told Scooby that I would be happy to continue moderating till the end of this year. It is now that time and moderating takes a great deal of time away from my fun in Pattaya and it is time to move on to other adventures.

I'll still be posting actively on this board under the name of Michael. I am not going anywhere and there has been no falling out. Moderating a board takes a great deal of time (from time to time) and I just don't have the time for that at this point.

So, when you see Michael posting on this board, I hope you all remember that you can add a few thousand posts to that name. :)

You have done well "Michael" so go and enjoy your time in Pattaya.

I hope you enjoy all those adventures. I still enjoy moderating despite all the shit I have to take, but it definitely takes a lot of time.

Are you going to retain your moderator status on this board even though you won't be moderating any longer or are you going to relinquish it, as I did?

Well, thanks for setting up an excellent forum and moderating it.

You are a large part of this boards postings so I can only imagine how mundane it will get around here. Hopefully there will be an influx of new posters. It would be sad to see this board just fade away.

Wow you

I plan to be just as active a poster on this site as I have always been. There is no other site that I want to check every day before I have my coffee! ;)

Good luck Mr GT, your moderation and input here has been exemplary. Your a classy guy!

One thing I'd like to ask...now your back in Pattaya, do you still place Brazil ahead in terms enjoying your time/adventures?

Thank you! I do appreciate that.

There is really no comparison. Brazil wins hands down for enjoyment and adventure. I know that is not what many would expect but it is the truth. I have always had great fun in Pattaya and Bangkok and Chiang Mai and when I am in LOS, I love my time here. But, the Brazilian boys and attitude are much more to my liking. The difference I will say is cost. The cost to live in Pattaya is cheap compared to the cost in say Porto Alegre which I could really enjoy living in. Pattaya also has a great deal number of expats which is a big plus and while in Porto Alegre, (for the gay scene and the sauna scene) I was often the only foreigner in the places. Like most cities in Brazil, Porto Alegre has tons of American businessmen there to do work. But, for the most part they are not in the saunas or the bars.

With Gaybutton and Gaythailand now moving on, perhaps the board will be more of a member's forum as opposed to a blog for the owners/moderators?

I'm not sure that's really fair. Michael and GB have had a lot of history here (and elsewhere)and I think most people feel that they've contributed more than their fair share. And I hope/expect that they'll stick around as they both have a lot of offer (there are very few posters who have the Thai experience - both in depth and in time - than GB and GT sure isn't a newbe either). The more the merrier.

Am I missing something? On July 31 I moved on. I don't post here very much anymore. However, I intend to post here any time I please. If that is a problem for you, just place me on ignore. Now you won't have to read my posts. Other than that, if you don't like it, tough luck. Gaythailand and I made this board. We've paid our dues. What, may I ask, have you ever done?
