I promised to keep an eye out for the date of the 2011 Parade, This has been extremely difficult information to locate, but it now seems certain that the date is Saturday 29 October. Here is a site which gives details of a an event the evening before which specifically mentions the 29th as the Parade date.

I am now making my arrangements to spend a few days there. With so much glorious eye candy and the chance of meting up with some in bars etc., OMG! this is one event I definitely do not want to miss! I have checked some airline and hotel sites, and it seems there are still plenty of cheap flights ex-Thailand and lots of reasonably priced hotel rooms. Time to make those bookings, guys!

Hey, I just got back from Taipei. I scheduled my trip there so I would be in town for the G5 party at the Luxy nightclub. Usually this party is only held once every three or four months, but it looks like the organizers are putting one on Sunday morning, Oct. 30. If you have any juice left in your batteries by then, I highly recommend going t the G5 party. The one a week-and-a-half ago was the most awesome gay event I've ever been to. I've never seen so many gay men being so free and having such a great time.

Last year 30,000 people turned up for the Gay Parade week-end. Most of these were almost certainly Taiwanese, but there were also lots of visitors. I expect there to be more incoming tourists this year because this event is the biggest in Asia. I have already booked my flights and hotel. I'd recommend anyone planning to go should make their bookings soon.

So how was the parade?

Sorry, I mis-posted the start of a Taipei Gay Parade blog on The Beer Bar. You and your colleagues may wish to move over here. I will update it in a few hours to include the Parade. It was great! Lots of amazing, fun-loving guys!
