I do give credit to the MAGA folks for putting their lives where their mouths are.  Military recruitment has surged in the US since Trump was elected.  There are lots of good explanations. For example, COVID made recruiting harder for years.  And as a result the military increased budgets for recruiting and changed strategies as well. 

But there is no question that since Trump was elected lots of people, presumably patriotic Trump supporters, have flocked to the military.  It might actually help that Trump sounds more like a peacenik than a warmonger.  He is not itching for a new Iraq.

So it works both ways.  But this family is a textbook example of a great American family (the Black Dad is a pastor) who used the military both to serve a country they love and to advance themselves economically.  That's something to be proud of.
