tin_sg Posted June 4 Posted June 4 I have stayed at many hotels in BKK. Amongst them some like grand Hyatt sauna is pretty cruisy especially when they offer membership hence u get good locals patronizing the establishment. The Intercontinental on chitlom is another one. Nice facilities w jacuzzi, steam n sauna. Had a few encounters there. I hear JW Marriott n Marquis, Westin also quite cruisy. Anyone had experiences at other hotels ? Mavica 1 Quote
PeterRS Posted June 4 Posted June 4 The Olympic Fitness Club at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel at the end of MBK is one of the largest in the city and has a membership consisting of many younger Thais. I have stayed at the hotel but did not visit the Club. I am told it is more than usually cruisy. Quote
tin_sg Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 Oh yes. I have been to that one. Very cruisy indeed. Esp the steam room. Quote

The Sukhothai used to be so gay friendly it was called "Gay Central"! Around the pool there were often far more gay guys than other guests! But that is going back around 20 years ago. Then there was not only a change of manager who was more homophobic. I believe the hotel itself has changed owners and is developing its own brand. For a while it was all but inundated with Chinese tourists who gave it a special award in 2015. Although I stayed several times, it was too long ago and would not choose it now. It's primarily a top end business hotel. sydneyboy1 1 Quote

Is this in comparatively recent times? I read a TripAdvisor report that the had installed cctv camera in the change area to prevent what the contributor suspects was to limit “gay frolicking”. Quote

tin_sg Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 grand hyatt erawan gym/spa is opened to the public as a membership sign up hence u will find locals using the facilities. the men's changing room has a hot and cold jacuzzi, steam and sauna too. at certain times you get different groups of locals hanging out at the facilities after their gym session. if you are lucky u might get cruised in the sauna or steamrooom, i was lucky to get quick blow in the sauna by a gym bod guy. Another time, i had a mature thai guy in my shower cubicle playing. but be cautious as the attendant do come around cleaning up. I have read somewhere Park Hyatt also can be cruisy at times (mainly hotel guests as its not a membership gym). sydneyboy1 1 Quote

I went to the toilet and noticed a few guys hanging around the shower and steam area which I interpreted as cruising. tin_sg 1 Quote

Tomtravel Posted Tuesday at 01:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:43 PM I have a monthly membership in SO Bangkok gym and spa; the infinity pool with a view to Lumpini park is used mostly for insta pics. It is impressive. Very cool infinity jacuzzi with a city view, I sit mostly there (alone🙂). Many gay visitors (some hot) but have not seen cruising. I have been there daytime, maybe after work? I will report if I see something. Honestly - the gym is rather poor, the spa area smallish and the place is more for relaxing. There are excellent seats in the pool under the bushes, which provide nice shade. Drinkies are served. vinapu 1 Quote

The Sofitel So is apparently very gay friendly reading TripAdvisor reviews although it does get rather mixed reports. Apparently it has seen better days. Quote
