I tried the Renaissance hotel. Pretty old facilities n not much cruising in the sauna.  I hear both Marriott marquis n JW Marriott sauna is quite cruisy.  I like the intercontinental chitlom sauna it's big n has a great hot pool.  Quite cruisy at the right time in the evening or morning. 
 

There are a couple of new hotels that opened. Dusit, Andaz n Ritz not stayed there yet. Anyone had experiences ? 

Has anyone had experience of the steam room at the Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit?

Not for many years. At that time I was told it was cruisy and visited the spa area several times, but nothing was ever happening. There was always an attendant lurking around quite regularly.

As I mentioned in my first post mid-last year, the fitness centre at the Pathumwan Princess at the end of MBK Centre has always been cruisy and I believe still is. It has a large local membership.

Thinking of trying the intercontinental hotel near thonglor. It's much newer property than the chitlom location. N price is cheaper too.  Looks very nice. I think they have a jacuzzi n steam room in the men's. Nice pool too.  Any one tried ?

A friend from Singapore stayed there a few weeks ago. He liked it. Said the gym had nice facilities but he was not there for cruising and so did not mention it to me. However, he said transport from that part of the city was sometimes quite difficult. Although it is relatively close to Thonglor Skytrain station, we had arranged to meet at the Yunimori onsen off Sukhumvit. This was his choice as I had sugested the newer Sathorn one. The original one is a lot closer to Rama 4 and badly placed for public transport. So he ordered a Grab car to get him there for 3:00 pm. It took 25 minutes for a car to arrive and then they got caught up in Sukhumvit traffic.

Yes traffic in BKK can be a nightmare sometimes.  Hence I try to stay on the BTS line. The thonglor station is not that far from the hotel so will be convenient.  Rates at this hotel is pretty reasonable toon much newer that the chitlom property.  Though the chitlom property men's sauna area can be quite cruisy heehee.

You would think so, but I stayed there last year for a few days and visited the fitness center several times a day to shower but did not see anyone loitering or any extracurricular.  Quite disappointing.

I wondered if you could of gone to the front desk and asked rather than wander around needless looking  otherwise your wasting time

I had the same thing at a 5 star hotel I always make a point in trying to inform the management on the feedback cards

Park Hyatt is such a great place to cruise. Very quiet. Staff doesn’t bother at all. Very discreet. Lots of gay guests. Stay here a lot. Staying here now. In case anyone is around.

Thank you. What is the pool like? It looks a bit small.

the pool is not big but ok size.  if you wanna do laps its probably a 20m length pool.  yes the sauna / hot pool in the mens room is pretty quite at times.  I guess depends on your luck.  Park Hyatt is not as cruisy as Grand Hyatt sauna because GH is also a members club hence u have locals patronising it.

What about the Peninsula or Mandarin Oriental

Have no experience with the Pen or Mo, but these high end hotels tend to be less cruisy from my experience. The ones that are, probably are the more mass 4 to 5 star brands. Esp those that have a membership club type. U get some locals cruising after their work outs.

Having said that, if the spa offers male therapist u might get lucky to get a HE from him :)

have 1000 baht note sticking prominently from your shirt's pocket or even better put it on the bed table under your watch or glasses . It should work. In higher end stabilishments addition of 500 may be required - three 500's will look best

generally yes but since Marriotts , Dusit, Ritz and the like were mentioned, I assumed we are talking about higher end hotels where soi 6 or Saphan Kwai shops tipping level rather won't apply.
