Pattaya hotels (Jomtien)

Planning a trip to Bangkok and Pattaya again in November.

Stayed a few times in Agate hotel. Good quality rooms and bed, location can't be better and always got a good price directly via the hotel website. Also important: never a problem taking "a friend" to your room. They can even walk in on their own coming to your room without you having to get him from downstairs. But this time I might to choose to stay somewhere else. As I would like to have a bit more relaxing time at a pool. I know Agata has two pools, but somehow these pools don't really are inviting for me to spent some hours relaxing.

I did see nice rooms for very good price in Welcome World Beachfront Resort. This one: https://maps.app.goo.gl/K7gWMJY2vf3QWyAr7

Did anybody by any chance stay here before? Would you recommend it? Any idea about bringing boys back to your room here?

Other hotel suggestions are welcome also.

Zing hotel, one midway between Jomtien and Pattaya has two pools, one on ground level and another one, smaller on the roof. I stay there in January and liked idea of being in between both gay areas. Liked their breakfast too. No issue with visitors, day or night. I tested both options

I contacted this place some years ago asking what their joiner policy was and they informed me that there would be an extra fee of 800 THB per night. So I decided not to.

Zing resort in the complex is decent, relatively cheap, visitor friendly and has a pool (which I haven't used).

The Zing Resort in the Jomtien Complex (Supertown) has a larger pool compared with the small size of both at the Agate.

Both are favoured by gay guests and there is no problem with joiners, including sitting with them around the pool. The rooms at Agate are very good for their price, but that’s only my opinion.

many years ago I did have a problem at the welcome world beach hotel to take a boy from Cambodia. Because he could not show he was legal in Thailand. For me that was the reason not to go to this hotel again. And beware of the fact that many russian people stay in this hotel.

There are many Russians in Jomtien. On my list visit I entered a Jomtien Complex Estate Agents' office in my (so far unfulfilled) efforts to find us a suitable home in the area. To my surprise, it was Russian  and its clientele was potential Russian  ex-pats.  The manager claimed he could build us a villa to our requirements in Jomtien; there must be big business in that market.

How things change. Our first visit  was six years ago and Agate's clientele then included many Chinese tour parties. Bizarrely, their coaches would arrive in the late evening and depart in the morning. One-nighters, it seemed.

None of this bothers me; live and let live. As long as P and I can stroll into breakfast holding hands, as is our wont being deeply sentimental, I couldn't care less. There are always plenty of gay guests and many of the staff are gay.

Agate has the friendliest and most helpful staff we've encountered in Thailand in hotels stretching from Chiang Rai to Krabi.  I suppose I should add that wherever we go in Thailand, hotel staffs treat  our rather Odd Couple with respect.

In addition to the Zing Resort and Agate there are at least three other hotels in Supertown (The Complex), all of which are popular with gay guests with no problems with joiners. I once stayed at the Poseidon, which seemed to be 100% gay and having a Very good restaurent .

I really like Poseidon for restaurant and hotel.

The evening dinners are top quality!

Anyone know if Le Prive remains a gay owned mini-hotel? It is/was located on Thappraya Soi 1 and has/had six self-contained bungalows set around a pool. It has a bar and served an excellent breakfast but no other meals. I have not stayed for around 8 years. It was run by a gay French guy. The gate was locked at 10:00 pm each evening but guests were given keys to open the gate. Joiners were always welcome.

Staying at Welcome World now.  No idea about joiners but you can enter from Dongtan beach and there is no security.   The hotel main entry is via a long, long driveway from Thappraya Rd.  Staying in a room overlooking the beach.  Very nice.

I would take a look at BB House which is just next to Welcome World.  Looks promising.
