Will you go to a restaurant if you can't see the menu before-hand?

I would! In my experience no menu is often an indication that the restaurant cooks with whatever is fresh and available on the day. They will usually have the menu on a large board or have the waiter present the options at the table. Some of my most memorable restaurant visits have been to places with no menu on their website.

I wouldn't even cross my mind to look at menu of restaurant in advance of visit. Why bother if I don't even know I like the place, never mind if I'm not hungry?

When going out with family or friends to a local restaurant, I will often go online to see if they have an online menu I can view before going for dinner.  This is usually because of dietary restrictions, so I like to try and plan in advance so I know if I need to plan on eating a little something before going as there won't be much on the menu I am allowed.  However, if they don't have one...I don't stay home or worry about it obsessively.

When traveling, I don't usually look in advance and am not as careful regarding my diet.  I just try to enjoy my travels...including the food.  If I am walking by a restaurant that looks interesting and they have a menu on display, I might check it out before making a final decision to try it, but not always.
