First time in Bangkok for 4 days

Hello guys!! 

I am currently in Thailand for a trip with friends. They are going back in few days and I will be flying to Bangkok where I will have 4 days for myself. I was searching for good massage places and that's how I came across this forum. After reading the forum I came across all sort of acronym s, sss, H etc. Kind of understood what they meant. After looking through the forum I shortlisted a few - s'sense, Fafa, Wabisabi, Jey as of now. Are there any other good places that can be recommended? 

Also how do the masseurs treat here? Do they change the treatment on the basis of looks?  I don't consider myself good looking at all - fat, belly etc. How much does that change their treatment to you?  

Is there anything I should take note of too? Do PM me if you have more detailed recommendations to share too. Thanks all in advance and appreciate your help.

don't worry about your look. As long as you tip generously you may be uglier than older brother of Hunchback from Notre Dame. What may affect their treatment is lack of personal hygiene so don't forget to brush your teeth and shower.

You will have fun  for sure.

Thanks, you gave me some courage to book, so I booked ssense 2 days before. When I asked for booking on line, they sent a ranking of their masseurs. The ranking is basically how many bookings they had in feb,...wow they are just promoting who is already more famous and ditching the one not famous. I kind of didn't understand why they are doing that in the starting and just chose one masseur C from the list who is kind of in the middle of the ranking. I booked a 2 hour Aromatheraphy Perfume Lotion + Signature sport Massage 120 min for 1690฿  

My day started with sleep depravation. Was awake till 2 in the night, slept for one hour and woke up to catch my flight at 6:30 in the morning from Phuket to Bangkok. Reached my hotel at around 8:40 while my booking is at 12:30, so slept for another 1 hour in between. When I was first booking the cab, it showed that that I will reach there by 12:20, but Bangkok's traffic made me reach there by 12:50. The starting was good, they reception was very cordial, they called the masseur and he took me to a different building in another alley where the massages happen. He asked me to shower and after 15 minutes of my shower I asked him to come inside. Everything was going good until here, but then he started massaging. His massaging skills were a complete dud...and all through the dreading massage the only thing I could think was, Is this the reason why they promote the ones who are already famous more? Is this the reason C who is very good looking even in person is ranking in the middle,/lower middle? I was already very sleepy, I wasn't feeling any pressure from the massage he is doing and he was doing that back massage for eternity.  After I don't know how much time, he asked me to turn to front side and directly asked if I want body to body massage ( he didn't give any sort of signal till now). I said ok and he went to  washroom for 5 minutes.  I thought body to body massage means everything minus anal. But no, I can't kiss on his body anywhere, I can't touch his nipples because they are too sensitive(WTH). He basically started to grind for like 2-3 minutes and after that it basically went on to me giving him hand job and him giving me hand job. The experience till now has completely put me off mood, so I asked him to stop and asked him to just cuddle for 5 minutes. After 40 seconds of this cuddling, he says he will get up and bath first which he did and after that asked me to take a bath. Remember in between all this he never massaged my front side at all. I just gave him 1000 and wanted to end this disappointment. 

Came back to the hotel right away and started checking H type spa's to remove that afternoon disappointment. After searching, finally chose Ganymede Spa because it has body to body massage with scrub in it's menu (may be I was trying to overcome that morning body to body massage disappointment with this name). First I asked for a person whose photo I saw in a twitter review. But I was told he was not there. Then I chose from the photos provided, but even that was not confirmed. All I was told to was come and see here. I became skeptical but I took my 5th shower of the day and went to the place by 7. When I went there, the owner who talked with me was not present at that point of time and only 2 masseurs were present at that point of time(The one I chose on Line is not there). Among the two I was neutral for both and just went with the one who showed me the menu card and showed more enthusiasm. He took me to a room in first floor, and took me to showers afterwards. He also showered in the cubicle next to me and went back to the room together. After asking me to lay down he started the massage and I was jolted awake, like man that was so so much better than the afternoon one. And this was supposed to be a H Place and that afternoon one more Massage centric. He was hitting all the correct points and I was so immersed in the massage that he had to forcibly give me signals reminding that this is an H place. His massage was very good, Body to body massage was amazing and over all a great happy ending. After that I had taken my 7th shower of the day and best one of the day as he joined in with me. Overall an amazing experience.

After coming back to the hotel messaged the owner back if the one who I saw in the twitter review will ever comeback. But he said he has permanently moved away. But the owner right away replied that the one I chose afterwards would be there tomorrow and would I like to book him for tomorrow. My hands which did not even give my mind to process the information typed yes. so looks like I will be going there again today.

Too bad you had a lousy experience at S'sense. I use them before but I relied on Google reviews rather than the shop ranking. The therapists I had were cute and quite skilled at massage including other stuffs 🤭

you adventure in Ganymede proves again and again  that  only way  to grade the  guy and his skills is not the look, not the enthusiastic or negative reviews but actual experience. It's why I always advise all who listen ' go and see for yourself". 

Occasionally I was happy with guys my trusted friends advised me against engaging and from time to disappointed with ones trusted friends recommended. Truth is sometimes we ma be disappointed with guys we already tried many times before. We all have good and bad days and so do boys.

Nice report, thanks for posting and reaffirming my thoughts on Ganymede. Ganymede has always been high on my list of massage shops (along with Arena, Senso and Prince) and can't wait to get back there. @vinapu his advice is the best and works the best for me "go and see for yourself", I find it part of the adventure and discovery, sure sometimes there is disappointment but more often than not a very enjoyable experience 😉
