bucknaway Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago If you travel and run into difficulty with Wi-Fi restrictions at the places you stay. This may be for you. Currently I'm staying at a Holiday inn Express and I want it to use my Chromecast with remote but due to the hotel requiring web portal Wi-Fi activation I could not use the device. I ordered the slate 7 model GL-BE3600 from Amazon for $150. To solve the problem. After setting up the router I was able to use the touch screen to select the hotel Wi-Fi it then sent a pop-up to my cell phone instructing me to login to the hotel Wi-Fi with the link provided which took me to the Wi-Fi login page. Once I logged in everything was set. I was now able to connect any Wi-Fi device I liked directly to the router ignoring the hotel Wi-Fi. I even changed the Wi-Fi login names and passwords to match those that I have at home so my device is connect automatically. This will allow me to even bring my Google Home mini or my Alexa as I travel. I'm so happy I wanted to share the good news with everyone 😊 https://youtu.be/5jDs882gB8g?si=zmnDb5qqrmcNWiEE Quote
floridarob Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I bought his is 2022 for $30 and use it everytime I travel... very rarely will I have issues, usually if I'm staying at a hotel or Airbnb with internet/wifi problems, Hilton hotel chains, never.... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TSK26W But you got me looking into other newer models and for $99, I (with the help of Google Gemini) narrowed it down to this one for the biggest bang for the buck and compact size.... bigger isn't always better 😁 https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-MT3000-Pocket-Sized-Wireless-Gigabit/dp/B0BPSGJN7T Quote
