sfcastro Posted yesterday at 04:25 AM Posted yesterday at 04:25 AM I will be staying in Jomtien next week and would appreciate any restaurant recommendations nearby. Prefer quality over simply being inexpensive, both having both is great. Quote

Prefer quality over simply being inexpensive, both having both is great. You can't go wrong with The Wine Cellar, aka Poseidon Hotel in the Complex. For Mexican, then the one in the Complex (Buenos Mexico), or a short Bolt / Songthaew is Mike's Mexican. For posh Thai, then May's on Trepprasit Road. Good hearty Italian, then recommend Salotto, on Trappraya Road. Just up from Tinnies Pies, which is a ripper for Aussi tucker. For French, then either Nathan's or Lupins. If you Bolt it over to Pattaya, then La Bordeaux behind Tukcom is worth the journey, about 120THB for the ride, phone ahead if you want the lobster. Also in Pattaya, across the road at the front of Tukcom is Zaab High, which is an Isan resturant. Great food and fantastic price. Careful if you ask for it hot!! For English pub group, then Hemmingways, just outside the Complex on your left on Trappraya Road. For Thai, then CoqTails restaurant at the back of CoqTails bar. Enjoy. jimmie50, sfcastro, daydreamer and 4 others 7 Quote
Londoner Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM The relatively small menu of Thai food at Sandbar, near the gay beach, has decent food- my Thai partner rates it and he's fussy- but also a pleasant view of beach road in the evening. You can watch the sun set as you eat your chicken and cashew-nuts! Much of the menu is European and I've not tried any of that. If you are prepared for a longer journey there's Terminus 21; check-out my recent recommendation of Pon's. The other two Thai restaurants nearby are also worth alook. jimmie50, sfcastro and tm_nyc 3 Quote

I was introduced to this restaurant on my last trip, it's really quite decent with one of the tastiest pad krapow's I've tasted in Thailand. sfcastro, floridarob, daydreamer and 1 other 4 Quote
