khaolakguy Posted July 9 Posted July 9 A slightly bizarre situation whereby smugglers of cannabis, legal in Thailand, will only be fined if caught before departure from Thailand but will be imprisoned if caught on arrival in the destination country. The amount of smuggling to the UK perhaps partly explains why my Thai husband is regularly stopped for his bags to be searched at Heathrow. If we travel and walk together he tends not to be stopped. I am never stopped by Customs but am regularly summoned to have a conversation with an immigration official!
