Bars closed today and tomorrow for Asarnha Bucha and Khao Pansa

Most nightlife venues will be closed today, Wednesday 29 July 2026, and tomorrow, Thursday 30 July 2026, for Asarnha Bucha and Khao Phansa respectively, two major Buddhist holidays.

Public holidays started yesterday, being His Majesty the King's birthday and an extra holiday has been declared for Friday, 31 July 2026. So it's practically a week long holiday in Thailand.

Please join me in wishing His Majesty a happy birthay.
