May 3, 201313 yr I have been out of touch with the Thai gay community for the last seven days while I and my BF were in Shanghai. Anything with the word gay in it is blocked in China and I had no access to any message boards, or Facebook for that matter. I have pictures of Shanghai and Beijing to post and a write up on the gay bars in Shanghai, but you will have to wait a few days until I can play catch-up. I do have one very important thing to add to any trip to China. One of the most important holidays in China is May day and this year it was three days long. If any of you have any doubt that there are one billion people in China I would suggest you plan a trip during that period of time. All your doubts will be removed as you are urgently shoved from place to place. Nevertheless, we had a great time and there is much that is positive to say about the country.
