Other than that, I know poppers only from internet (the occasional profile that sells poppers on gayromeo or hornet). I don't remember any boy talking to me about poppers, or seeing paraphernalia (these characteristic bottles).

I have occasionally used poppers whilst in Pattaya but not during my latest trip as I forgot to pack a couple of bottles which I normally do. Whilst on the gay beach Dontang I kept a lookout for a seller but none appeared. I had seen them being sold during previous trips, but maybe the sellers have been caught or maybe there was no market amongst the Older gays there.

Funny that my old thread has been resurrected. Poppers are now sold along Sukhumvit Road at night by various vendors, but who knows if they are the real deal or fakes from China. You can Google "poppers eye damage" (without quotation marks) to read various media reports and medical studies. Also, you can become psychologically addicted to poppers to enhance sex and can't enjoy "normal" sex without them, which is a danger.

too add to this... you shouldn't do poppers while using viagra (or similar). They both lower blood pressure, and together it can be to a dangerous level.

Not just that, but decomposition as well. The chemicals that are in poppers (lower alkyl nitrites) decompose at ambient temperature, which can be easily detected by smell (fusel oil when decomposed). No vendor will throw away decomposed poppers, he will try to fob it onto an unsuspecting newbie user. Best stored in the refrigerator.

I usually take viagra or generics at the start of my trips but then find no need and discontinue. How long would it be safe to start using poppers ? one or two days or longer ?. I’m versatile and like to partake sometimes when I’m being topped.

A quick google suggests 24 hours is the rule of thumb. But I think you should take your own health and the dosage of viagra you take into account.

I wonder if anyone has had trouble with the police following poppers usage. I’m not a regular user. I suppose it could happen that a money boy could report you. Maybe I’m being a little paranoid.

I've never heard or read any story about anyone getting in trouble thanks to buying or using Poppers in Thailand. That doesn't necessarily mean a lot, but considering how much I've read about people getting in trouble for all kinds other stuff, I'd tend to think the risk is quite limited.

The legality of poppers would be the least of my concerns.  While I have used viagra and cialis with some trust in what they are and have planned their availability,  I always thought of poppers as an act of desperation, when some performance is not adequate and needs to improve. I have never carried poppers, and If someone offers them to me when he needs them himself, I usually decline.  I don't think that one can trust what an anonymous person may have concocted with questionable knowledge, and even if they are simple alkyl nitrates they are not safe. They may not be a life risk, but our health is too important.

It is what it is, I had never heard or read about it, but that doesn't mean that nobody ever got in trouble. Heck, some people manage to get fined for carrying prescription drugs they bring along from their home country.

I see you are also a bon vivant.  We should ask bartenders at some of these Circuit and White Parties if they serve home-filtered water, or even better, if they can blend some vegetable juice with beets and kale.
