  1. If you are looking for an excellent tattooist with a nice clean shop, I recommend this one "Mimptattoo". I did the Koi tattoo full on my arms last year with him. The work is great and the price is reasonable. Check out his website www.mimptattoo.com .Will probably get a second one and plan to go back to the same shop.Want to get peony  wich symbolize wealth, good fortune.

That looks great! The place looks good too... I'll check them out... I'm in BKK now, but since I'm going Scuba diving in two weeks, I can't get a tattoo until afterwards... but will definitely visit beforehand...

  2. yes it is , best way is to go and check for yourself. On my last trip out of 11 nights, 10 had Tawan boys as bed warmers and with some exception they did good job

I'm easily convinced!  OK... I'm gonna need some bed warmers when I get there I think!

  3. But the important question is, is it still worth going to the Tawan?  Been looking forward to it for months... gonna be in Bangkok in three weeks and it was going to be my first stop!  Do I have to find a new place to find some muscle boys/men?

  4. Deyn the doctor who owns Sathorn Clinic has perfect English. He is very highly educated, well travelled and comes from a family of doctors.

His profile is also often seen on Gay Romeo.

    Really?  I'm liking it!

(LAGuy searches Gay Romeo like a maniac.....)

  5. Fix your teeth at Thai Smile on Silom, they have very hunky dentist if this is your thing. He would not to be out of place in Jupiter or Tawan IMHO

I suddenly feel the need for a tooth cleaning when I get to Bangkok!

  6. When I started work in 2013, I got healt certificate from Bangkok Christian Hospital for around 500 Baht from memory. The health certificate for membership in youth club was 60 Baht this year.

Big hospitals with English names and English speaking staff will be more expensive than local doctors.

The membership form might be in two languages, English and Thai, or ask someone to write down "health certificate" in Thai "ใบรับรองแพทย์" to show it to a doctor who does not speak English.

Excellent advice... and after looking at the Sathorn Clinic site, I'm definitely going there just to see the hot doctor.  Might as well enjoy some eye candy while I'm getting my form filled out!

If his English isn't good, I'll still enjoy trying to explain for a LONG time before I show him the paper with "Health Certificate" in Thai...

  7. well I got mine from the Bangkok Christian Hospital for free, but that's because I went there anyway because of something else and asked for it. They just gave it to me at no extra cost from the bill I got for the other things. I would think it won't be expensive there.

Alternatively, go to www.sathornclinic.com, the gay doctor that has been mentioned here somehwere a few times. Very small clinic (or rather really a doctor's practice) and nice people and doctor. They now have two branches, one on Suan Phlu and the other conveniently right on Silom next to Noodi's, adjacent to the small soi where G.O.D. is.

    Perfect!  Thank you so much!

  8. The Youth Center with swimming pool and indoor gym must have shower facilities.

I am member in another Youth Center, you have to submit membership application, passport picture, copy of passport, health certificate (doctor basically checks if you are alive, price varies from 50 to 500 Baht depending on where you go). It's indeed incredibly cheap: 40 Baht per year and 15 Baht per day if I use the facilities. Everything clean and well maintained.

Any chance you happen to have recommendations on where to go to get a cheap health certificate?  I'm going to be in Bangkok for 5 weeks and would like to swim daily like I normally do... and am trying to find a pool at a reasonable cost...

  9. Prachachuen Soi is at the southern end of Prachachuen road, about 1 km from MRT Bang Sue. Somewhere around here:

13°48'33.1"N 100°32'04.2"E (when I insert link, it disappears)

There are some saunas north (see my blog), and Chatuchak and other markets east, and the giant construction site of new railway terminal east. It's not that bad.

Thanks Christian... I feel a bit better... although I asked the agency if they could find me something a little closer to where I'm working for the summer - which hopefully is also closer to the bars and boys ;-)

  10. Finally found out where I'm going to be staying for the summer in Bangkok... I've been told it's in the Bangsue area.  All I can tell is it's near the northern end of the Metro...

I really don't understand addresses yet... I've been told it's Prachachuen Road, off Soi 4 in Bangsue... I tried putting it into Google Maps, and get all kinds of different results... so far that's been useless...

Does anyone know anything about the area - other than it's far from all the fun?  :unknw:

  11. It is clearly stated at siamroads.com - booking is possible not early than 90 day in advance

I'm not quite sure where it is on the site. I just checked the FAQ, plus the About Us sections and don't see it.... You might want to make it more obvious for those of us who overlook things like that...  :good:

  12. Definitely worth a considering a booking with Nick should anyone be interested to go!

Unfortunately, when I tried to book Nick, he told me it was too early to book.  I was trying to set up a weekend in July, and he told me to get in touch later(?!)

I ended up booking a weekend away in Chiang Mai with a different guide.

I guess Nick can afford to turn away business... He definitely lost mine...

  13. Thank you. The fact it is a direct flight is very important for me. Travel time is a few hours less when going direct and the risk of crashing is reduced by 50% (in stead of 2 flights you only need 1 when flying direct, so 50% less chance something goes wrong).

I'm not sure if you realize it, but your chance of being killed in a plane crash is 1 in 29 MILLION....  I wouldn't worry too much about two flights versus one...  :yahoo:

  14. for what it's worth: as coincidence would have it I just met a Swiss guy last weekend who had just spent several weeks in Phuket to learn diving, and was about to go back there for more. He said it's very good there. Didn't go into any detail. so can't name a school.

It seems like the most popular place I can find is Ko Tao... Not the gayest place in the world, but I can survive for 3 1/2 days :-)

But I'll check Phuket out too...

  15. Rainwalker, all great information... and I'll be in Thailand the whole summer, so chances are I won't be diving within 24 hours of flying... Drinking shouldn't be a problem... I'm not much of a drinker...

But I'm curious.. the article talks about not drinking AFTER diving?  I understand not drinking before, but after can be a problem?  Interesting...

Phuket sounds good... Time to go research some more!

  16. I've been looking for somewhere to take beginning scuba diving lessons, and am totally overwhelmed, but figure I might be able to narrow it down with advice from guys on here...

It seems like there are courses in Koh Samui, Phuket, Pattaya, or Koh Tao.  Has anyone taken diving courses in any of them?

Looks like I'll have to balance what you can look at in the water diving, with what I can look at in bars or massage places... I figure a couple of days of diving is definitely going to deserve nightly massages  :p

If you were going to take diving classes for a weekend, where would you (or did you) go?

    Thanks!

  17. If you wish to take a chance and receive a BJ, fair enough but it is inappropriate to expect or require one from a money-boy.

You're on a site that talks about hiring money boys and you think it's inappropriate to expect a blow job?  Suddenly I have visions of Farangs hiring boys to hold hands with until they're married...

Just say no didn't work when Nancy Reagan was bleating it out, and it isn't gonna work for any normal Gay man or money boy I'm sure...
