  1. It is my pleasure: le plus grand plaisir après l'amour, c'est d'en parler!! Next month I travel to Colombia, also new posts are comming. No other country, not even Brazil, has so many young guys ready to meet older ones. Delícia!!
  2. Monday, segunda, another great day at Meio Mundo. There is indeed a Mundo Enteiro, since garotos are so hot, so funny and so ready to please. I had a nice encounter (with repeated performance) with a nice gay guy (what a body, gentlemen), but my friend met three nice ones. Today I'm leaving, hélas. Until next year...
  3. Gentlemen, Meio Mundo was very funny yesterday (sexta = friday). I came early but there were some garotos on duty. Soon the place was boosting (with more offer than demand). Current prices, 50 BR. I cannot also see the trumpeted decline or the rising prices in Rio Saunas... I met a handsome, V shaped man (25yo, Hugo), with beautiful dark skin and classic body perfection. Serious, sweet, devoted, a gay to keep. A truly nice programa and after (a free half-programa, may I say). He left and I met a new one: a handsome, stammering bahiano, with beautiful grey eyes and sensual lips, magrinho but powerful. Very client oriented. I left at around 21h. The street Teofilo Ottoni was full of people, from the chopperia next door; it reminded me the streets in Spain, with people outdoors drinking bear, eating petiscos and having fun. I had some myself at President Vargas and came safely, thanks the MetroRio (Uruguaiana), to Siqueira Campos. Today is very nice. I'm looking forward to meeting my new friend (Hugo) at the beach... There could certainly be a relation between garotos and Brazilian economic success: the first ones deliver a good service, cheap to produce, and then the resulted income improves the internal consumption rate sending the economy up to the skies. But everybody knows finally Economics is but a funny grand-ma tale....
  4. Oh, yes... I'm staying in the Jucati Apts., in Copa (bairro Peixoto). A basic two rooms place, with room service, not expensive at all. http://www.edificiojucati.com.br/index_en.htm greetings Epi
  5. I left Curitiba for Rio de Janeiro. Clube 117 was at its pic. Many garotos and many clients... one of them had his anniversary and invited everybody to a select buffet and the show. I cannot see any problem with garotos and their quality... A lot of them at the buffed side, I choose a nice twink, who stand out the mass of big --sometimes too big--- muscles. The guy is from Rio Grande do Sul and he did behave like a true courtisan. Great company. Best greetings Epi
  6. Hallo, gentlemen! Here I am, in Curitiba, Paraná -- Brazil. I arrived on Aug. the 27th, to attend a conference... also not a lot of time to go around. Anyway, here it is my report. (English is a foreing, too foreing languague for me: so excuse bad spelling, vocabulary and sintax). Hotel: I'm staying at the Hotel Mabú, at Praça Santos de Andrade. Very nice and central, very good service and facilities; a 5 stars hotel. And I had no problems recieving guests. Since my hosts provided the hotel, I do not know very much about prices: 200-150 € x day? It is not very cheap, sure. (Everything around here are at European price levels: books, clothing, restaurants...) City: pretty safe and clean by Latinamerican standards (I'm quoting a Brazilian colleague from Sao Paulo, now at Florianipolis). A nice, but small old town. Someting to see: beatiful Botanic Garden, the great Niemeyer bulding so called Museo do Oculo (Eye-museum, from the eye-shaped tower), Opera de Arame... nice, but nothing so special to justify a touristic visit. The must in Parana are the Iguaçu Waterfalls, in Foz do Iguaçu (one hour flight from Curitiba). The Mabu Hotels have a (good) resort there. Weather: some days winter cold (7º Celsius), some days Springtime (in the twenties range). The traveller should bring something hot if visiting this state in late August (Curitiba lays ca. 900 mts above sea level and it is far from the Equador). Food and drinks: as usual in Brazil, they like beef, and churrascos are good; I had a very tasty picanha. Fish meals are mediocre -- at least for an Spanish taste. Since Italian inmigrants are a significant share of the Paranaense population, Italian food is quite popular. There are a local, acceptable production of red wines... far below the Argentinian and Chilean (or, let us say, the Rivera del Duero or Rioja in Spain) wines. People: I have no problems in meeting local (young) people at Manhunt; as you may know, Brazilians like older men (at lest in my 50's). Apart of many contacts and phone colls, I actually met four guys, having sex with three of them (with a furry, blond, nicely malhado young man more than once). I visited two saunas. Last saturday I went to Clube 520, at Senador Souza Neves St. # 520. A nice villa, with good facilities. More clients than garotos (30 to 10 +-), but they said weekends are the worst days for meeting garotos. Another client, rather young & athletic, wanted to play with me, but I did prefer to consider first the garotos offer. Two very muscular, somehow arrogant types (no kissing etc.), two very handsome guys with great difined bodys... 80 reais is the current fare. I had a massage with happy end given by a handsome young man (19yo) for 50, although he asked another 50 for the sex... He accepted at once my offering 80 reais (which is anyway less than in Adan, Madrid, or Thermas, Barcelona). Place open from 16h to 22h. Yesterday (sunday) I went to sauna Opiniao, in 749 Rua Amintas Barros. It is even closer (walking distance) to Praça Santos de Andrade. The place is a less preserved villa (25 reais entrance and 12 cabine, far cheaper than Clube 520). It was almost deserted. I met anyway a nice mineiro 24yo and had an ok-time for 50 reais: nice body, ok-sex (not great), nice conversation... the best I could probably get on sundays! They are open from 16h to midnight. Summing up, it seems that regular working days are better for meeting garatos. The mineiro at Opiniao underlined the segundas (mondays) and quartas (wednesdays) as best days in the sauna; the teen at 520 said segunda to sexta, remembering last friday as a very good day; but I had to work, hélas! My experience corrcets some information of Netgay Brazil: at least partially, 520 is still a sauna with garotos. Greetings from Brazil! Epi
  7. It is indeed. Today I went to Adam, the escort sauna in calle San Bernardo (just opposite the Ministery of Justice -- lol). A quite evening, with 12 clients and same number of guys. Two or three twinks, the rest of them more at the muscular side (and a couple of model quality). I met a Northafrican guy, a certain Rachid from Morocco, muscular and hairy in his 30s... beautiful six pac abs, very nice smile and a great kisser... He asked 50, we settled at 40, but he got 50, since he was so good in the cabine. And so generously endowned that I did not dare to try it. Curiously enough, he was into rimming (very well, indeed), but not into sucking... Greetings Epi
  8. Gentlemen, Madrid is sexually hot this summer. I combine my work with encounters with nice guys. Many young men are ready to accept a date ... with a mature man in his 50s, like myself. There is no need to visit 'Adam' sauna or the hustler bar 'Black and White' in the Chueca dostrict; my very satisfying encounters take place through Manhunt or in the chat forum 'gay Madrid' (Chueca webpage): many of the guys accept an offer (if not, they take it as kind of compliment), give you their msn or skype and connect the cam, so you know in advance what are you meeting later. Many of them are latinos. Since monday I meet (besides two nice guys, one a Spanish worker, one a very endowned Irish -- both not for pay) three beatiful twinks, from 19 to 23 y.o., at 50 € (the third, who happened to be a part-time escort, asked for 70-80 but got 100: he is sooo nice and sexy) ... in my place, a very good bargain. Another two, latinos in the muscular type, are already book for the next days. ;-) I think they like older men, or at least have not any barrier for meeting them and accepting a little gift. To summ up, a good experience. Epi
  9. And besides there are a little sauna in Foz do Iguaçu, with --the manager said-- some boys... I could not wait their arrival... Epi.
  10. Yes, there are 'garatos de programa' in all those places. Prices are between 50--70 reais, if I'm not wrong (but I was there a couple of years ago). There are free and paid rooms. In Sauna 520, at least sometimes, You may meet good looking young men, not for hire; in these case, instead of paying a price You can get a prize... Not my luck in Curitiba, though (but Salvador is another story!)... About English in the saunas: Tomcal may answer this question. I did speak my accustomed 'Portuñol'. Epi.
  11. Well, guys, I'll do my best but please do not forget I'm using a foreing language, not too familiar for me ... the good thing when you are Spanish speaker is that there are no communication problems with the boys in Brazil! I have been only in those three saunas: 520, Opiniâo and Clube 773. There are others, maybe without boys. Clube 773 and Opiniâo are in the city center. The first is the worst: more a bar than a sauna, and not too nice. Boys are ok, though. Opiniâo is better, located in a three-story house and there are always some attractive guys. In both I had a 'programa'. Sauna 520 is located in a residential neighborhood. A nice house, with large facilities (nice bar and resting area), large steambath, a decent pool.. even some free rooms. Every type of boys, from muscular to twink (the last ones dominated the scene in my last visit, not my cup of tea). You may find there young not-working guys, also some cruising is possible aswell. Have good luck in Curitiba! (And do visit the Oculo-Museum, by the great architect Oscar Niemeyer, the Teatro de Rame and the nice Botanic Gardens). Epi
  12. My experiences in Curitiba are pretty good... The one You mention it is not the nicest. I have been several times in Clube 520 (av. Senador Souza Naves, Nr.520), the best sauna with boys in Curitiba.. But there is another one near (walking distance) Praça Santos Andrade: Sauna Opinião (Rua Amintas de Barros, 749-Alto da XV). Have a nice stay in Paraná (and visit Iguaçú falls, if possible). Epi
  13. Hi, Lorenzo, welcome to Europe... and to Spain. Those stories do not match the ambience you may find here. A couple of African-american friends have enjoyed very much their visits and experiences down here. Best greetings Epi
  14. Hi, I have spent several weeks in Colombia (Cali and Medellín) last October. I met many young gays by Manhunt, and left many others waiting for a date. They were not for money, just young guys looking for fun with older men. It is amazing how easy is for an man in his 50's (my case) to meet teens (over 18 of course) and guys in their 20's. Only two of them told me they expected some money -- even if they were older men lovers! I met one of them, in Cali: a very good experience with a well built, early 20's student. In Medellin I went once to the gay sauna (Casa de Tobi, near plazuela de San Ignacio); I have very good memories aswell. Also, I think there is no need to pay in Colombia, but of course you need some spanish to communicate and fix appointments... Best wishes for the brand new 2011!!
  15. About the weather in Fall: I do not know how it is at the sea shore (Cartagena & Barranquilla), but in the countryside is very mild. It can be hotter in Cali, though. Anyway, fall is raining season, so you should expect a big (sometimes really big) rain everyday, between 4pm and 8pm. From february on starts the dry season. No wonder Medellín is surrounded by a very green landscape!! Big hugs Epi
  16. Hi, guys, of course Colombia is not a paradise. I did not visit rural areas, where the FARC is present. Nor the favelas-like sectors of almost every city. Even in my home country, or in the USA, or in Rio de Janeiro by the way, I have nothing to do in marginals quarters or places: I do not know the actual situation, but when in Berkeley several years ago, I did not dare to visit Richmond, or West Palo Alto, etc. The point is this: if you limit your visit to main Columbian cities and move safely, you have nothing to be afraid of. Really. I'm back home in all my pieces... With very good memories... And an invitation to work again in Cali next fall. A big hug Epi
  17. Thanks guys... I have seen / met white Americans in the hotels and apparently they are safe and happy. I cannot say if young Columbians are very fluent in foreign languagues, but if they can speak another tongue, this is English... Many of them are college students, who probably can understand an American friend ... I mean, in a vertical position. Of course hotels or restaurants staff are able to service properly the international visitor. Regarding money rates I am not well informed (and besides, the euro is too high these days). But is nothing to be afraid. My experience with a male escort --very succesful-- was not too expensive: the guy asked 90.000 pesos (out call), ca. 50 US $. I guess this is current price. Best greetings Epi
  18. Thanks, guys, I feel warmly welcome! I'm still in Cali, enjoying the friendship of a former olympic gymnast (22 y.o.) Nice boy and great body (and all the way around: great boy and nice, so nice body)... A regular university student, not for renting (but I would for sure rent him!!). The rest of the list cannot be honoroured... Anyway, you wish further information about saunas, hotels, meals... I do by best to answer. Saunas: My experience refers only to Medellín (they say the best gay bath-house in Cali is 'The Club Cali'). I went last friday to the Casa de Tobi sauna (in my first visit to Medellín, 2003, I went there a couple of times). It is located in the city center of Medellín --not the best looking environment, but I did not feel particularly unsafe-- near the Plazuela de San Ignacio. At the square tourists may visit the St. Ignatius' Church and the 'historical' building (actually, late XIXth Century -- early XXth Century) of the Universidad de Antioquia (nice cloisters, acceptable bookshop). The sauna 'Casa de Tobi' ('Tobi's Home'; the Tobi-friend of Little Lulu is actually portrayed at the counter) is a nice place, a three-story building with gym equipment (too desert), big jacuzzi and bar; in the second floor you have steam and dry saunas, and on the third cabins and spaces for fun. There are only lockers, and the use of cabins is free... but they have two or three rooms for rent, if the partner you meet deserve a VIP treatment! Apparently, the best of Medellín bath-houses. They open from 2 pm to 10 pm and it costs almost nothing (15.000 pesos, 7-8 euros, 9-10 dollars). There are usually plenty of people in the bath-house, of every kind, racial background and age; most of the patrons are young and nice, with medium to great builds. (I met a young student of Physical Education, a triathlet with a wiry complexion... You understand why my memories of the place are so good)... Also, not boys-for-pay in Tobi's Home, but probably the masseur (a twink -- not my cup of tea) can be rented. I did it at least in 2003. Hotels: my places in Medellín (Hotel el Poblado Alejandría) and Cali (Hotel Radisson) were/are nice accommodations, within an international quality standard (in Cali rooms are actually suites: living room, bedroom --with a large bed, I guess what you call 'queen-size': a very appropriated name, by the way-- and bathroom). I paid in Medellín around 350 euros x 4 nights; it is also cheaper than in Spain (a similar hotel in a major city costs 130 euros at least). Service is good, even sweet, and efficient. Even if they have always a security guard, there is no problem to have guests in your room (it is possible to register the guy for an overnight, paying an extra of 40000 pesos). A funny remark: there were condoms in the mini-bar service at the Medellín hotel (not free). In ether hotels, restaurants were good. But Colombian food is not a great cuisine: just succulent (the typical 'bandeja paisa' of Medellín is quite heavy, too rustic for my taste). As far as I see, Medellín is nicer than Cali. Both cities grew up with the drug-masters-money, but Medellín has now economically recovered far better than Cali. El Poblado in Medellín, the southern quarter, is beautiful: great residential buildings with manicured gardens in a very green and montainous country. And plenty of (big) commercial malls. Colombians just love malls. Manhunt: yes, the best way of meeting Colombians is to open a Manhunt profile (with some pics!). It is important to localize the profile in the city you are visiting (I changed mine from Medellin to Cali, with success). If you remain on line a short time, messages will just [over]flow. It is really amazing; easier than Brazil. With these open-minded, mature-lover young people there is no need to rent. Anyway, it is quite easy to find by Internet (of course, hotels offer a good wireless internet connection) rent boys, or 'prepagos' in the local slang. My experiences are quite limited, but please guys do not hesitate to ask whatever you feel of some interest. A big hug Epi
  19. Hi everybody! I bet You will excuse my foreign Engish --I'm from Spain-- because I got good news about Colombia. I came to Medellín and Cali a ocuple of days for work reasons and -- please believe me, the boys here are more than willing very ready to pleae... It suffices only to open a (local) profile in Manhunt and the boys flow.. I do not consider myself bad looking, but I confess I am a mature guy (55 y.o.), hairy and a little, although not too heavy. Anyway, there a plenty of young guys to keep me busy.. Sofar I met six very nice boys, ages between 18 and 26, black, white and mulatto types with over average to muscular build... Only one of them expecting to be paid: he got it, and he deserved the 90.000 pesos (around 35-40 euro) for sure. I have visited several times Brazil, where young people are very open to mature men too (not to mention the legendary sauna boys), but I think Colombia is an indiscovered paradise for intergenerational encounters... Besides, Colombians are nice and educated. Medellin have a good and extensive zone called El Poblado for the international visitor (and a unforgettable sauna in the city center: La casa de Tobi), food is good... I am still in Cali (I know, it sounds to dangerous, but the bad times are gone!) and I had a list of messages I cannot honoured! What a shame, but so is life ... Thanks for reading! A big hug!
