Guest straycat
I'm wondering if anybody knows the origin of the term, Fools Gold? I've tried searching online for details but cannot locate the specific information.
Guest ScottAdler
http://www.sdnhm.org/fieldguide/minerals/pyrite.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrite There ya go. It's not really a complicated story as far as I can remember. Essentially it's a mineral that LOOKS like gold and people that were getting excited over believing it was the real thing were labeled fools, something to that degree. Guest BewareofNick
There was an episode of Married...With Children that i think exemplifies that phrase. Al took the family, along with Marcy and Jefferson and they went mining for gold. And you imagine what happens from there..
