And don't forget McCain's "joke" about the old Beach Boy's song "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran". $5-6 a gallon gas anyone? Apparently his reticence has been ongoing for some time. I'm pleased that he had the honor to make his differences public and take the fallout rather than go-along-to-get-along that many other military leaders engaged in in the run up to the Iraq War and the unmitigated disaster it became after victory was declared.
