It seems like Brazil is the south american escort capital & Spain is the European escort capital.

For those who have been to both, which one do u prefer and why?

SPAIN PROS:

Safer

more diverse escorts: cuban, brazilian, Mediterranean, morocans, african

Madrid & Barcelona are easily connected

Huge on line selections on gayromeo & telechapero

Like soccer, it looks like the top of the top brazilian escorts ends up in europe

cheaper (when including the trip)

BRAZIL PROS:

Huge sauna scene where you can sample, no catfish.

Brazilians are a very ddiverse people on their own.

More affectionate lovers.

rio & sao paulo are massive cities.

they give high status to europeans & americans

You put a PRO for Spain being cheaper? How so? Europe in general is more expensive than South America based on the Euro vs. the dollar....

I agree that Spain has an amazing escort scene but there is no comparison when it comes to the sauna scene.....

As far as the cities, culturally I feel that Spain offers more outside of beaches and the saunas BUT Brazil is culturally rich as well...

Spain is much easier to navigate and you run across more people who speak English and knowing a little Spanish goes a long way...

Both are exceptional when it comes to food and restaurants....

I like Spain and have never been to Rio. I'm only sharing what i've experienced recently as I've just come back from Barcelona and was impressed with the diverse selection of hot boys at Thermas (russians, brazilians, africans and mediterranean type guys). All very hot and happy to spend time with you. All you had to do is walk around in the sauna and make eye contact or smile to them and they would engage in friendly conversation or even just flash their wares. The two guys i hooked up with were very affectionate and knew how to turn me on for the brief 20-30 minutes we were together. I presume that the guys are equally hot in Rio and equally friendly, but my impression of Barcelona was that it is very safe (not sure about Rio, and would appreciate any input by experienced members) and the sauna was close to the university/plaza catalunya area. If i needed to walk there, i think i could walk there safely in about 15 minutes from my hotel.

Additionally, there was a house of boys not too far from my hotel called American Boys that had 7 boys onsite (i called in advanced to confirm whether they had any university student type boys), but i chickened out after being buzzed in and decided to go to Thermas instead (given my limited time and tight work agenda). The boys at American Boys charge 120 euros which is about two times more than the 50 euros at Thermas. For me, i think barcelona would be worthwhile revisiting and the flights from nyc are reasonable and i believe would be shorter than the flight to Rio. As for expenses, the hotel i stayed in was about 150 euros a night in the Ramblas so it wasn't too expensive. I would definitely revisit for a longer period.

I have been to Barcelona about 1/2 dozen times since 2009 and I have always had a great time. I have been to Brazil about 80+ times since 2001 and always had a great time!

1) Cost is about the same for airfare from L.A. to Either place, except for this summer/fall when AA had a firesale on airfares to Rio/S.P.
I am going in Sept. and my ticket is $453.

2)Hotels/apt. is slightly higher in Barcelona where I stay when I am there

So it's about a tie considering those two points.

For me, it now comes down to time and distance and type of scene!

Barcelona(and Prague which I also really like and have a good time there)is NINE TIME ZONE Changes from L.A.

Rio and Sao Paulo are only 4 time zones difference. Since I usually go for 10 - 12 days, that difference is huge, at least for me and my body! When I arrive in Barcelona after a 14 hour, 2 flights, and 9 time zone changes it sorta knocks me out for 2 days, and I usually am in Business or first so I can only imagine how bad it is for someone in the cramped coach seats!

Lastly I am spoiled going all the way back to the 90's and Stellas/Gaiety/Boardwalk, where you could see a lot of guys and look over the selection, as you can do in a sauna as opposed to online like GayRomeo. In Brazil you have anywhere from 20 guys to 60+ on the busy nights at several different saunas, In Barcelona I have been there where there is 20 guys at the One sauna, Thermas, but it seems to have a higher proportion of Older guys, i.e. over 25 then you will find in Brazil. at least that was my impression the times I visited. Every time I went to Thermas I would estimate 50% of the guys were Brazilian and I always knew several from Rio! so since I was seeing mostly Brazilians in Barcelona it just seemed easier to fly to Brazil and make it easier on my body! Once I discovered Porto Alegre with it distinctly more European look to the guys you get the best of both worlds in Brazil, every type/race of guy, and I like them all.

bottom line, you will have a good time either place,

since I seem to be doing more 3 and 4 ways, saunas make this much easier and cheaper to do those "different from the norm things",then hiring off the internet and trying to arrange it! but that's for a different post! :-)

I live in Germany so i prefer Spain. For me it´s also the cost of the flight and the time Zone difference which makes it more difficult to travel to rio. I like the Sauna Scene in Barcelona you see what you get. I agree with the post before that there are also a lot of "older" Sauna Boys.

I think the Boys on Gayromeo Charge the same like in Germany . The difference is of couse you find more latinos...

The reports from the Sauna Boys in Rio mentionend often that you can take a Boy to the Hotel. Thats also possible in Barcelona, but then many Boys increase their fees to a very high amount , compared to the rate in the Sauna..
