Tomcal, so glad to hear you are finalizing your ho away from home purchase. I am sure the Brazilian economy will suffer somewhat due to your new purchase. But at the same time, a few worthy Brazilian boys might be getting some vacations...Let me know when you get the house all settled and are ready for visitors...

Ferrar, the house i bought was owned by American couple 'who had restored it.  The title was clean but you are right there is no title insurance in Mexico so it is imperative you get a attorney who is well versed in title searches and thoroughly researches the propertie's archives.  As happened to one very sucessful beach restaurant here which had bought a beachside building and over 5 years turned it into one of the most popular places, and then one day a guy showed up and said "i am a grandson and one of the heirs and you do not have my signature on the property deal so i am taking it back!" And he did!  They lost tge place! So it is definitely a case of buyer bewear!

That story reminds me of an international couple who had bought a beach house in Bahia, but with no title issues, who were eventually going to do a complete renovation.  The house sat vacant for well over a year,  and they had at least 'hired' a security guard while they were out of the country but he ended up taking to the place so much that he decided to live in it and is now claiming squatters rights!   The problem is that the proper employment documentation was never filed, and they are now in litigation.  Squatters  have serious rights here, but I don't think he lived in the place long enough to qualify. Such are the issues of being an absentee owner here, and I suspect elsewhere, for prolonged periods of time.

It sounds Tom like the professional contacts you have made there, like with the local realtor and lawyer etc will save you this potential aggravation.  You might also even be using a management company if you decide to rent the place out.  Just be careful with the other local professional contacts you are making who might (rudely) decide to enjoy the house even in your absence!  ;)

I have a management company in Mexico that pays the local bills, water, electric, cleaning lady , pool boy, etc. and also rents the prooerty for me on AirBnB when i am not there! They are great, a American couple who own a realty company there for 7 years and manage approximately 50 homes for people like me.(and 4 rental properties they own.  Last night i went to dinner with FloridaRob who was the one that got me inerested in coming here! When went to TGIF's which has to be the biggest one anywhere! 4 levels. Big screen TV's everywhere, i would bet it seated over 500 people and there was a 1/2 hour wait to get in! We were there with 4 other guys including one who 3 of us at the table had slept with and he's not a escort! Just a horny 25 yr old! :-)

I forgot to add that the beach restaurant that was taken over by the grandson, when the existing owners were kicked out they stripped the place of all tables, booths, bar, etc and reopened a 1/2 block away 6 months later and the grandson ended up not keeping any of the existing business and went broke! The other restaurant is flourishing! Maybe there is Karma!! :-)

I was invited to a gay "mayan" wedding on August 5th here, one of my realtors is marrying his 25 yr old Venzuelean BF!  He is from a wealthy family so should be quite a event!  The BF of one of the guys here told me his BF is going to the states that week so could he be my plus 1?  This guy is very hot in bed so i said absolutely! I wasnt planning on coming back down until the end of September but can't pass this up!

Many guys have asked about what the working guys here look like? The faces are like brazil or anywhere else and run the gamut! And the dicks...well here is a guy from last night from grindr, i promised him i wouldnt show his face but he is 22, nice toned body and cute!  Oh and like everywhere else in the world, majority prefer Bottoming! But all will top if they are asked...so i am told probably similiar to all the muscle guys i have met in Rio, they say they are "solamente Achievo" but when the sauna door closes they go "ok i will be passive but don't tell my friends"!  But their friends are all saying the same thing!

lmao

I would still suggest follow the other thread to install a GPS spoofing apps and get on Grindr Mexico site to see for yourself what's on the offer. And you can also test your luck and skills (language, hunting, negotiation skills ...etc).  If you don't see what you like, or you are unable to hunt down any deals, there is no reason to make the trip (for sex).  There is no saunas in Mexico with rent boys on display for your selection as in Brazil.  You have to hunt them on your own.

@Darkseraphim : Please spare no detail as I will travel there in Sept.

BTW, last weekend of May, France's Compagnie XY (acrobats) plays at the municipal theatre. If you like that sort of thing.

I love that folks age 60 and up get substantial discounts in Brazil. In Mexico it is inconsistent and often restricted to nationals, though I always ask or push. Not that I am dating anyone.

I see Pilobolus in Rio end of May. So much easier and economical while here compared to NYC etc.

I actually use to date/support a ballet/contemporary dancer for about 2 years when I lived in Miami, so the Compagnie XY show certainly has my interest!   My trophy boy would always talk smack about a classmate of his who ended up dancing for Pilobolus    The show would make a good Saturday night opener before perhaps going to Babel for a few drinks and a live show.
