I understand that you can take Diamox (Acetazolamide) to help prevent it. Does anyone know if it is easily available in Colombian pharmacies? Members asdsrfr Posted May 4, 2019 Members Share Posted May 4, 2019 Bogota is 8660 feet above sea level. I've never had a problem with altitude sickness there but some people may. You may feel a bit winded going up stairs for a few days until your body adjusts--but that is not altitude sickness.
