Of course, the other sick irony is that at the same moment he is saying Vlad has the right to attack European countries that won't pay for NATO's defense, Trump is urging Senate Republicans NOT to pay for NATO's defense. Trump would of course say, stupidly, that Ukraine is not part of NATO. And abandoning Ukraine has nothing to do with NATO. It's hard to decide whether it is best to call this particularly stupid behavior, particularly dangerous behavior, or particularly narcissistic behavior. He will damage it even more if allowed back in the Oval office, something that serious people who worked with him in his first term have warned about. This is all it should take for a voter to take a hard pass on him in 2024. The man is unfit.
