I havent been to Pattaya for sometime and will be on my way back soon.

A questions that hopefully will get answers rather than abuse that I experienced on another board.

Does anyone have any link or phone number to a reliable taxi service to pick me up at the Airport to Pattaya.

Even if I have to pay a little more for reliability I will.

All I actually want is someone that is reliable ,will be there when I arrive.

Im not actually concerned about vehicle condition, whether the driver is a man ,lady or transexual.

There was a link /posts on the sawatdee board a few months ago of a farang in Bangkok who was running a taxi service.

One of best and pragmatic ways is use bus from belltravelservice.com - they have stand at lower level of airport near exit 7-8... their buses are going to Pattaya about every 75-90 min, cost 200 Bath per person, travel time 90-100 min, in Pattaya they offer minivan to your destination point (incl. in 200 bath)...

I agree, this is an excellant choice. There is no need to spend more. The buses are fairly new and quite comfortable.

I have had very good luck with Sam, who has a private taxi service. He was there early for a 4:30 am pickup (airlines fly at weird times) at my hotel.

I don't have a website, but you can call Thailand 66850846779 and make arrangements. He will meet you in the departure area and escort you to his car, and drive directly to your hotel/motel in Pattaya. If I recall, it was about 1200 to 1500 for the service.

The Bell Travel Service bus or the airport to Jomtiem bus are probably your cheapest mode of transportation and a good value. The problem is your flight arrival has to correspond with the bus schedule. I think they start around 8 am, with the last bus leaving the airport around 6 or 7 pm.

My flight often arrives around midnight and so I have used two different car services. Both companies have been very reliable and I have never had a problem. Mr Toom's taxi service is around 1200 baht. The cell phone number in Thailand is 0830178066. Mr. T's taxi service is also very good and is a little cheaper at 1000 baht. Phone number is 0812587716.

Bell Transport Bus is a great option if you are within the hours. They have buses leaving from the airport to Pattaya at 08:00/10:00/12:00/14:00/16:00/18:00, and you must make a reservation ahead of time...they don't accept walkins (something to do with airport rules).

You can make a reservation at http://www.belltravelservice.com/routes_rates.php#

Hope you have a great trip!

This must be new since April. I was a "walk-in" then with no problem.

I am glad to hear that you were able to get on with a walk=up, but from the Bell Transport home page:

!! Passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport !!!

"We do not accept walk-in passengers"

All passengers must reserve your seats in advance

through the web site otherwise we cannot serve you.

So, I don't think I would take the chance of not having a reservation.

They accepted me as a walk-in last year, but the guy said to call for a reservation next time. Like GaySac said, it must be a new rule.

The problem with the bus service is it only leaves every 1-2 hours. So if your flight arrive doesn't coincide with one of these times, you may need to wait 60-90 minutes for the next bus. Add this time on top of the additional time it takes to get dropped off at your hotel (instead of being driven direct in a taxi) and it can almost double the duration of the trip.

Better to spend an extra $30 on a 1,000 baht taxi and just get there in the quickest possible time.

The folks at Bell Transport are quite a surprise with their speed. I flew in from Ubon arriving at BKK at about 10:30 and was sitting in a friends room at Howard's in Pattaya at 2:15 sipping a cool one...that is fast enough for me...and I know where to look for them at BKK.

Have you even try Bell?

They drop off you directly to your hotel or to place which you will tell them: when bus come to Pattaya station there will wan already waiting for you... They will ask you to change bus to wan and and in 10-15 min you will found yourself near the doors of your hotel... This service is included in price of 200 Bath... for example: travel from airport to Bondi takes about 1h50m (I had it twice - in March and in June)

but for future: give me please info where I can order taxi for just 1000 Bath from airport to Jomtien, 1000 Bt sounds good.

You can usually grab a meter taxi for 800 or 900 baht. Go up to the departures level and grab an incoming taxi (ignore the security guards who whistle at you to move on but be quick about it).

Alternatively, http://www.mrdreamtransport.page.tl/ has a rack rate of 1,200 baht. He made an offer on sawatdee-gay-thailand.com a while ago saying, if you stated you were a forum member when booking, he would knock 100 baht off it to make it 1,100 baht.

I'm pretty sure I've heard others quote 1,000 baht but you would have to look it up.

If price isn't a concern, just use someone like Image Limos... they charge sonmething like 2,800 baht... but are super-reliable, safe and comfortable.
