Reflecting on the lack of boys on the beach, I had a look at my diary for 2007 when I visited Pattaya for the first time in February for a similar period to my holiday this year. It's definitely IcecreamKa. He was very busy when I was there, but I have yet to buy one of his ices. On reflection I did notice during my recent Pattaya holiday that there were far fewer beach vendors than before. DVD sellers seemed to be completely absent as were temporary tattoo artists, although due to the age profile on the gay beach that's not really surprising. I remember a few watch sellers and many trinket ladies. Massage men and lady manicurists seemed to be as numerous as before. Maybe this is just my imagination.

Crazy pilot Plenty of Thai boys come to Samsuk Sauna. I had them in the cubicles. I think they get a reduced entry fee. They are looking for farang boyfriends. Money does not change hands there, but no doubt it does later. Some farangs take their Thai boyfriends.

Yes the nearest I've got to an orgy in Thailand was during my visits to the Samsuk Sauna in Pattaya. There in the darkened cruising areas I groped and was groped and engaged in tongue kissing. 4500 baht for a room ?. I have never paid anything like that in Thailand, even though I am well able to afford it. I suppose I am a cheap Charlie at heart. I stayed at the Tantarnwan last August and that was good enough for me. A very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast and of course close to gay bars. I think I paid about 2000.

I've been in Pattaya over two weeks now and the bar closure last night was no problem for me at all. I stocked up with a few beers, small bottle of whiskey and mixer.
