  1. staying home she is thorn in old establishment asses, going away she would risk of being forgotten, she is probably following a lesson of Lady Aung in Myanmar
  2. I fairness to the boys I must say that it's very long time since boy planted himself beside me uninvited and even then he asked if he can sit with me before sat down. mamasans are different story but it's their job I guess to intimidate us to off their boys. Tawan is an exception as their modus operandi is that boys are circulating freely and often they are approaching patrons but in my limited experience they never ask for drink or off leaving that move to clients.
  3. hope you are right, unwillingly perhaps they are creating martyr
  4. May be I should take your advice and spend some evening at Jomtien but I just like hustle and bustle of BT area although liked Bamboo bar mid-day experience last Dec. Just sitting in the bar is not my thing unless it's go-go bar with boys in speedos on the stage.
  5. I think boys are used to not being picked up as only lucky few have off every night and even superstars go home empty handed from time to time. As for being too nice and polite from time to time I think you are right but at end of day I still rather force myself to being polite than create a scene over my only beef with some boys - reneging on time commitment and leaving too early under some stupid excuse like wrongly parked motorsai ( new invention as far as excuses go, heard twice last trip).
  6. I'm opposite, in the beginning pay attention to sides and as time passes I tend to forget where I am and start generating trouble when crossing streets or possibly subconsciously I start thinking about returning to 'normal' sided traffic
  7. I never had problem with either day or night staff and always stay there at least 2 nights on every trip. Fact that quite a few of them recognize me at least by the face probably helps. Only problem I can recall from last trip is that night shift receptionist did not have a clue of how much of all-inclusive price for massage actually goes to the boy but I worked that with the boy.
  8. I'd say look right and left, not other way around . Almost learned that lesson hard way while crossing Suriwong last trip, good thing I was with the boy who stopped me
  9. probably yes, as it goes on Sundays for a while, it was the same in Decmeber when I was there. Likely closing street om Sunday is partial compensation for clearing sidewalks during day
  10. Don't forget Tawan bar where you will find hunks with capital H
  11. before this happens proper schooling must be provided and facilitated. I'd not trust capitalists with that, this is what governments are for
  12. 20-30 % would be my guess as well and we collected our statistic samples at the same time of year
  13. Not only in Thailand, I met that one in 2001 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and remember this very well for simple reason : on top of the above he said that girl who he was with stole his money and my answer was 'if you like boys like me you'd not be in such trouble ', this was first time I publicly and loudly stated my preference, that's why . Of course I did not give him single riel / Cambodian money/, not to mention dollar .
  14. Prince along with Hero,Senso , VClub and Uniman is best place for hunks although you will see them in most places. As for sex you need to discuss that with mamasan while there or boy itself, certainly nobody will be surprised if you ask so don't be shy. Don't assume hunks are top only although statistically probably most of them are but mixture of proper tip, your personality and size of your equipment may lead to better accommodation of your desires whatever they are.
  15. you are not farang expat just farang visitor and your concerns are shared by multitudes here
  16. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/9774-off-to-thailand-again-december-2014-trip/page-6 one correction to the narrative - Prince is in Suan Plu soi 6 , NOT soi 4 also watch http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/9796-the-journey-begins/ thread by TMax as he just announced today that Prince is in his near plans
  17. April is month of Songkran which may derail your plans a bit due to all this water splashing so take this into consideration in your timing.
  18. I don't think majority of farang expats are that concerned about access to cheap sex workers but otherwise I think your observation about colonial mentality may me spot on.
  19. Cultural difference
  20. From Silom: walk Convent Rd to Sathorn, find overpass and cross Sathorn, Suan Plu is fairly busy street almost opposite Convent on other side of Sathorn , take left hand side and walk along Suan Plu, third soi on your left is soi 6 where IResidence hotel and Prince is located, Prince will be half way through the soi on your right in kind of courtyard, is fairly big structure. there are at least 2 signs on your way so keep your eyes open. It's not hidden at all and IMHO easy to find. You will not regret although prices are higher level than else other than Senso but so are facilities and line of boys, only Hero can be compared
  21. Cultural difference and access to approachable and reliable banking system may be credited for the fact. I'd not be so radical in crossing friends off. When my parents were throwing a function and were short of chairs they borrow them from neighbors, who did the same in their hour of need. Me, being from different generation and living in different society, in the same situation borrow them from my condo's party room, partly because I can.
  22. class solidarity?
  23. I can volunteer to be one...
  24. that's advantage of dealing with Thai boys and Thais in general, they are extremely polite as long as we don't rile them off, worse you may hear is some excused 'no'
  25. are we any better? Just this week talked to friend who sold her mortgage free big house and was lucky to get much better price than listed. Downsized to small apartment so obviously has excess money and ever since according to her is constantly harassed by family and friends to lend them some money for this or that. And we are talking quite well off people in well off country so why Pattaya Thais should be different? I fully agree with last sentence above ' based solely on who has a money' or perceived as such.
