Day 2. Woke up late at Grand Hyatt Erawan. After breakfast I asked for a late checkout and they gave me a 4PM checkout without hesitation. It is probably also a byproduct of the hotel still being in medium capacity. Went to CentralWorld only to discover they closed all Coffee Bean branches in BKK. I like the big department store in CentralWorld that used to be called Zen and is now called Central. It's same prices as home but with lots of Asian brands we don't have back home. Bought my husband a backpack that he wanted and carried on my way back to hotel for checkout. W Hotel - I only stayed the first night at the Hyatt for the fast “get out of jail” card. Rest of the nights I wanted to spend at Silom. I Usually stay at the Meridien but I wanted to diversify since hotel prices were the cheapest I ever saw in BKK. I booked a studio suite at W for a total of 750 USD for 3 nights. I used rewards that I have so didn't actually pay but the fact is that this room in this hotel usually costs more than double. I booked that room specifically since I had a naughty fantasy with that tub which will be fulfilled in my first night there. Hotel was great and they gave me a free 6PM(!) checkout which is something I never got for free before. After checking in, I had coffee with an old friend from previous trips and after that I wanted a massage. Arrived to Silom Plaza's Arena just to discover that they don't serve the dish that I'm after. And by that I refer to Asian muscle. By Vinapu and Andy's recommendations I took a motor taxi to Sabaideespa. 4 guys on display, one of them suits my needs, I think his name was Jack. For the first time, following Vinapus advice, I go for 90 mins. I got the whole 90 mins. Massage was fun, playful and that guy was with a very high conscious of giving good service. I left that place very happy. What I failed to mention so far is that one of my main motivations to come to BKK was to meet someone from a past trip. That guy knows how to party and I love clubbing with him. At 1:20 AM the lights turn on. That's way earlier than it used to be, but V says I'm not allowed to complain and instead just be thankful that it reopened. V who is still high, wants to go to a private after party. I don't and promise him we will go tomorrow and that tonight I want him for myself. We arrive at the room, then as it was in the past, we argue who is sex DJ tonight. V likes shitty circuit music and I like deep house. We have it my way that night and have a sex night. Our sex is in different rhythms each night, and tonight was softer and more passionate. We go to sleep exhausted and satisfied at about 5AM. Time zone wise, I deliberately wanted to go to sleep each night somewhere between 4AM to 6AM so that on the one hand I stay at Israeli Time zone, and on the other hand we don't miss hotel breakfast

When entering Israel, all passengers get tested in TLV airport upon arrival and must quarantine until they get their results. That is perfect time for me to start writing. Intro – 8th trip report (and 8th visit) to my favorite city in the world. 37yo Israeli. Last trip was for the White Party of New Year’s Eve 2020 with my husband. I remember that before we flew to BKK on the end of Dec 2019, reports were starting to come about some virus in China. I couldn’t imagine back then that this virus will make me separate from BKK for such a long time. More than 2 years and 4 Pfizer vaccines later I booked this solo long weekend, to see if even after Covid changed a lot in the world, the BKK magic is still there. And it is still there 😊 Bureaucracy – Once I booked my first night directly (Grand Hyatt Erawan) and got the authorization I submitted all documents online and Thai pass was approved in less than 24 hours. Since this trip was exactly 5 days, I did not need a second PCR. And also, they now dropped the second test anyways. I found the whole procedure friendly and fast. Flight – One of the unfortunate results of Covid is of course the chaos of booking flights. We used to have 3(!) TLV-BKK direct flights a day. Now we have once a week, and 3 times a week TLV-HKT (Phuket) -BKK. None of the direct options suited my very specific flight schedule requirements so I booked Turkish Airlines with an Istanbul connection (650 USD). This is a 14 hour journey with the main leg being over night which is exactly one of my firmest requirements of a flight to BKK. A couple of days before the flight, when the probability of me actually taking that flight was high, I found that business class fare declined dramatically so I upgraded (Additional 1600 USD). The TLV-IST leg in both directions was a full flight and the IST-BKK flight was half full in both directions. Flights were great, slept great and woke up refreshed. Suvarnabhumi was kind of empty and I was out in no time. Hotel – Grand Hyatt Erawan (9400 THB test & go package with fast PCR) – Not my preferred location. Hotel lacks character but they did supply the only thing that I really wanted them to – a really fast PCR result. On my way to the hotel, we stopped by Medpark Hospital for a drive thru test – 16:18 was the swab time. At 17:41 the phone rang with the negative results. They did what they promised they would and that was great. They were also very generous with a 4PM checkout time to match my next hotel check in. Breakfast was OK. After that I went for a stroll in Silom. Soi 4 seemed pleasantly crowded. Some places closed; others opened instead. All and all, I was surprised to see a lively scene, not far from the way it used to be. I enjoyed my walking thru the different streets and venues and waited for 22:30 for the show at Tawan to start. Tawan was a sad place that Thursday night. As some photos here show, it is forth of its original size – and the stage has almost no accessories or decorations. Actually, that night there was not even a show, just 4 guys going up and down the stage for an audience of 3 people. Guys on stage are not my type, some are off season, some are in no season, but as Vinapu said – it only takes one guy. And that guy was there – I think his name was Nut but I’m not sure. A Lean bodybuilder classic type. I didn’t want to leave Silom as I wanted to party later that night so it was coinvent that they offered a room. 2800 THB later (500 off, 300 room, 2K for the guy) and we were at their room which was descent enough for the muscle worship session I wanted. He supplied it to the max and I left there very happy for myself but sad for that establishment. I do think/hope that they will improve as more and more tourists come. After that went to DJ station, which was not full as it used to be but also not empty. Music there is still shit 😊. GOD was closed that night which disappointed me but I knew it would open for the weekend so I called it a night. Will continue soon.

Indeed. Full report will come in a couple of days. To make a long story short: it is now kinda shit and in no way even resembles what is was. But, I did had luck there. Even so, it was just luck, the place is dead.

I also preferred first night at Silom area but all the direct mails I wrote to hotels there ended up with a dead end. If you want a cheaper option, just for the 1st night, another nice hotel I found with a RT-PCR speedy test was Pullman KingPower. Just an update on this - I talked to lots of hotels in the Silom area and in other areas reagarding a Rapid RT-PCR test upon arrival that will hopefully secure the option of going out at the late evening of the same day (Landing in Suvenabhumi at 3PM). All Silom/Sathorn hotels told me that is not an option, one of them told me that it used to be an option but the hospital that covers the area - BNH hospital - recently stopped doing Rapid RT-PCR. Having taking that into consideration, I started exploring out side of Silom and in many other areas that are covered by other hospitals, the rapid test is an available option (Specifically I checked Siam area and Sukhumvit Area). So, first night is booked in the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok in the Siam area with a rapid test option. I found several hotels that offer that. If anyone is interested in rates and info, I'm attaching the brochure they sent me.

Le merdien wrote me: "As per your email at this moment BNH hospital did not have rapid test anymore so hotel can’t provide rapid test service to the guest. However the result will be announce around 6-12 hours." Maybe the hospital used to have a rapid PCR but they temporarily stopped offering it to the wide public because of Omicron. That is the situation in my country.

Hey guys, It has been a while. Hope everyone is enjoying the plague. I feel that my time has come. I need some advice from the experienced. Assuming I come to visit BKK with test n go at the beginning of March, is there any way to obtain a rapid result for the PCR? Does it matter what hotel I take? I would hate to spend my first night at my room. Will appreciate any sort of advice regarding test n go. Will probably come for 4 nights so won't need a 2nd test.

Hey guys, It's been too long. I got my first COVID vaccine two weeks ago and scheduled to get my second next week. Any official statement regarding entrance of vaccinated foreigners to BKK without the requirement of a 14 day isolation?

If you can cancel up to the last minute, keep an open eye and wait. A lot can change in a month. Just think how things looked only a month ago. I'm doing the same for my Rio trip in Easter. Although it seems there is very little chance of it happening under today's circumstances. Also, if I remember correctly, you are American. There is a good probability that USA will enter the quarantine list since it seems things are escalating there really quickly. Israeli media states we will start banning USA citizens entry in a couple of days so Thailand might decide doing that as well.

A quick addition that I forgot about - The Glitz - Our flight back home left at midnight. This is usually the case for me when using EL AL or RJ. I prefer it that way since then I can sleep during most of the flight. Downside of that departure time is that check out time was 2PM (after some begging in Meridien lobby). Usually I just leave my luggage and return at 9PM but we wanted to rest and take a shower before the flight. I booked a night at the Glitz just for that 7 hour gap (40USD). It was a nice 2 minute walk from Le Meridien. That Place was more than sufficient for that matter with a clean room. I don't think I could have stayed there for the night just because the mattress was a showstopper for me. But all and all for what we needed it, it did the job well. We did spend inside that room less than 2 hours - but that is just what we needed it for.

Yeah bummer! And although you didn't get to meet the queen, TLV current rumors state that she will be performing in your homeland this summer!

This is not a trip report. Let's call this a trip review since I feel I wrote similar stuff only 2 months ago so I will summarize this short BKK visit in a single yet exhaustive post. 35yo Israeli guy here. This is my 7th trip to my favorite city in the world. My BDay was on August and my husband asked me what do I want. We both knew that he really owed me a nice gift this year for taking care of our child while he had to study very hard this past year. Thus, I asked for a thing I knew will make me very happy and he could enjoy as well: 2 round trip tickets to the White Party in Bangkok. I already heard the rumors of my favorite DJ return to BKK: Offer Nissim. We didn't want to leave our daughter for long, and also I had work so this was an insanely long distance short trip of 3 nights. But as I previously wrote: A trip is better than no trip. The 11 hour flight to Suvarnabhumi went easy as we got upgraded both directions. Fast track made things easier and it took us from airplane door to hotel lobby 56 minutes. Compared to my memory of BKK traffic 2 years ago in NYE, this trip traffic was usually free and not jammed. Don't know why. Le Meridien - this was my go to hotel in BKK. I have very good memories from it so I booked 3 nights for us. It's NYE rates so it costed way more than it should but I knew this was good. I'm afraid that this hotel is not what I remembered it was. My last stay there was Oct 16. The hotel seemed tired: The rooms, the breakfast, the gym, the lounge. I'm not sure if I was too nostalgic about this hotel since I had good memories conceived in it, but I'm kinda sure it's not the case. I think that the same amount of money can get better accommodation, but it's location is unbeatable in my opinion. I do need to emphasize that all was OK with this hotel, just not as fine as I remembered it. The Prince - after arrival, we went to prince to officially start this vacation. Place was PACKED, as you would expect at 5PM a day before NYE. I told my husband we wait and see who comes out of the rooms since the guys on display were the ones no one chose for a reason. After 15 mins a hot guy comes out so I point him out quickly to the mamasan and send my husband with him. After several minutes another guy comes out, athletic figure, and before anyone else can take him, I just point him out and go in. I did not expect him to be that great, but he was. Name was Jack. Massage was everything I expect for when I go to prince. And surprisingly both of us got a full 1H session. Usually I don’t care if we finish earlier when I'm that satisfied but this was a refreshing turn of events. We both left very satisfied to our room to prepare for my queen’s appearance. WPBKK2020 - This was the fifth WP hosted in BKK and my personal 2nd. I visited that party 2 years ago when my DJ queen did her debut performance there. I already wrote in the past the true and important meaning of DJ Offer Nissim in my life so I will spare that text again. I will say that his performance this time was outstanding. The crowd loved him and that party was as I expected it to be and even better. Take everything I'm saying here with some proportion as I am criticized by my friends on not being able to be critical at all when it comes to my queen. Regarding WP production, it definitely got bigger and all small details were taken into consideration on this events. They did an outstanding job regarding production in terms of lights, ambience, scenery, bars, toilets. This productions quality is the best I've seen in the gay circuit world. And believe me, I've seen a lot lol. Being the critical person that I am, I'll point out also the flaws: sound was WAY above decimal limit. Just as it was last time I was there. I had ear plugs but I don't know how people survive this event without. This is illegal in my country and should be also anywhere in the world. Also, on the WP Main event's Offer Nissim party Dec 30 the queues in CentralWorld were about 1H long when we arrived at 22:30. Being the good Israelis that we are, we of course passed them by and did not stand in line like good civilized people. But that queue was a result of bad planning. Last, the production got a bit too commercialized. Lots of booths selling merchandise, and video art inside the party sometimes displayed commercials. Other than what I have written’ the production was on the highest standards in the gay circuit industry. We attended both the WP(Dec 30) and NYE party (Dec 31). Both were kinda similar if you exclude the fact that on the first party my favorite DJ appeared so for me it was way way better. Similar to previous experience, party is 90 percent Asian, 1 percent female. Crowd is mostly Asian foreign since this party is expensive. Our VIP ticket was 120USD for a single ticket to one party. Crowd is very friendly, with a very good representation of what is eye candy for me. Most of the party attenders were likely on recreational drugs. Most of the party attenders were shirtless as it is usually the custom in these kind of parties. Lots of dancefloor flirting and making out occurs, and we do so and enjoy that as well. Party ends rather early but standard for BKK: 3AM. In TLV this is the best time to actually arrive to a club LOL. Babylon - we went to Babylon twice. Jan 1st and 2nd. Both times place was packed and serving my favorite dish: Asian muscular men. Babylon was very generous on me on both times and I left both times shocked with satisfaction. I will add that it's the only sauna in the world that combines the ability to find sex but also to REALLY chill and relax in a nice atmosphere. This place has a warm spot in my heart (and my dick). G Bangkok (G.O.D) - We went there on Jan 1st. As I previously wrote, I love that place in terms of music, crowd, atmosphere and smoking. This was a similar experience. It was PACKED as I expected so we arrived early. In my opinion, the music in this club was better than WPs NYE party. Smoking is allowed and the ambience is dark and sexual, just the way I like it. Ear plugs are essential here as well but music level is not as severe as in the WP. This place and babylon remain my BKK jewels. In lack of time, I spared the Grindr and sexual text, also considering that I wrote extensively on those on my previous reports. This was a BKK quickie with the main objective of enjoying my queen in my favorite city, and so I did. I have no plans to return to BKK soon, but I will, sometime. Maybe Songkran 2021. I'm kinda addicted to this place. But, new experiences are needed and my first taste of Sao Paulo and Rio is coming this Passover, so it will probably be a while till I return to BKK. Come to think about it, I knew that cause you actually told me that 2 weeks before, when we met. So I guess ending up in a toilet booth is a combination of laziness and maybe also seeking a certain amount of thrill on my last night. LT is something I haven't done yet. But there is always a first time. I am not sure too crazy is describing my opnion about this party. I'd say less sexy than I expected but surely entertaining.

Leg 7 - Bangkok - Last chance candy Arrived to the Thai capital on Friday for my last 3 nights of this trip. Hotel review - Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri - 3BR Suite(350 USD per night): I booked this hotel for several reasons: it's walking distance from Siam malls which my family will like, it has 2 and 3 br suites which is rare and cheaper than interconnecting rooms, room was massive (180 sqm). This was all true and was perfect for our need. But, other than that, this hotel does not offer anything exceptional than others and for couples/solo I see no benefit on staying there. This place lacks a bit of character. Breakfast is of medium quality. After sending all my family to nap, I visited Prince(#3) again. I have no recollection of that massage which means I enjoyed it but it was not exceptional. What I do remember is the price change. 1h Oil 1100 and minimum tip 1200. I'm almost sure 2 weeks before that both were cheaper. After my family woke up we all went up Mahanakhon building. Inspired by Vinapu, My daughter and I made a replica of his pic there and sent it to him. Very nice place. That weekend was my final weekend and after being in Moonlight two weeks ago and being impressed by the guys there, I had a vision of going there every night and offing a guy. Well, that did not happen LOL. Went that night to Moonlight (#2) to discover that the place is PACKED. Too many people there, guys mainly interested in the girls sitting front row. I appreciated the models there but realized this place is probably more friendly mid-week. From there, went 23:30 to Tawan (#2) with a clear purpose of offing Tiger. Stepped inside, 2 minutes after getting my drink he passes by, sits next to me, and asks me "Are we going together?". I did not want him to think I am that easy to get. Next day was a typical BKK Saturday for me. Starting with a play space with my daughter at Central World. When napping time had come, I moved to my play space Babylon (#4). That was the visit that Babylon was the most generous to me in terms of guys. And it was an all Asian buffet that afternoon. Night time was dedicated to a guy I met in a previous trip that has become more than just a sex friend so before clubbing we met for drinks at Telephone. I like the atmosphere in that Soi very much. After the bill is paid, we say our goodbyes an I'm off to G.O.D and finish my night there. Vclub7 VCK Cool Space - After a morning at Emporium mall and playspace, I put my daughter to sleep. It's dad's free massage time! Went to VCK Sunday afternoon. I think they have less guys in terms of amount than the Prince. But, every guy I saw there was a pearl in his own category. Reception guy had no idea about my free massage so I asked him to call the manager. After the club closes he suggests we have some fun in a toilet outside. I am hesitant since this is probably illegal in Thailand and I am not in the mood of going to the police station. But, alcohol was in my blood, and I was horny so just repressed that thought and 10 minutes later I left my dignity at a booth in a toilet behind Silom's KFC. Not my finest hour but I will lie if I say I did not enjoy that encounter. Grindr Hookup (#9) - Last day in BKK I already decided that I will have my farewell party at the Prince. After morning time with my family, I took the motortaxi there. On the way a get a Grindr message from a guy that texted me the night before, but it did not work out yesterday. He suggests that I come to his hotel's pool to chill before I leave. I already know that he shares a room with his friend so not a lot can happen there, but I decide to go for it because this guy is hot and this is my last hours having fun in this city. Well the pool was nice but neither of us wanted to enter nor to chill so I find myself, again in a toilet booth. At least this time it was a fancy one, larger and quiet cause the hotel's pool was empty. Yet another great encounter and god bless Grindr. Prince (#4) - from there off to prince for my farewell party. Upon entrance, I see a familiar face, not in the boys section but in the chooser's section. It was the guy I met at G.O.D and wanted to keep in touch with but decided to keep him for my next trip. He was there with another guy, Israeli, which actually used to live 2 buildings next to me and my husband. We had a 3some several years ago. What are the chances for that?? So instead of choosing a guy, the 3 of us have a conversation for about half an hour. I already saw the guy I'm gonna choose and hope that he stays there till we finish this weird and funny reunion. After we finish our chat they suggest we go to his place for some fun the 3 of us. I politely decline saying I'm tired but truth is I was really into the Asian guy and did not want to have what I call a "fake 3some". Pattaya is very much considered a family destination. At least among Israeli families. Actually people were only surprised by my decision to spend family time in Bangkok.
