Wow that is expensive compared to travel from Europe to BKK. I'm flying in economy to BKK for 660 EUR.

Almost always using booking.com, with the genius discount. However this time, for my next trip to Bangkok I had to use Agoda as the special offer for Raya was not available on booking.com

Thank you Vessey for this excellent report. I'll certainly visit Sunee on my next trip, as I visited it only for half an hour during my previous trip.

After reading all the comments about Tarntawan going down, I will stay not book it anymore and choose the Raya when in Bangkok for my second trip to Thailand in February next year.

I arrived by taxi around 10PM in Boystown. Had to walk 50 meter to Ambiance Hotel. Not a problem for me, as my luggage was only one suitcase.

I was in Thailand in April and was not scammed. Only problem I had was that a boy I offed refused to perform in my room. He told me it was his first off and he was scared. Didn't pay him, but the off fee was lost.

How do I change my user name?

I have been staying in Tarntawan until a few days ago. Lots of ATM machines in the neighbourhood. They all charge 200 baht for the transaction. ATM suggests you to book the transaction in euro (my currency) but I decline that. What I always do when travelling abroad : I go to TravelEx in my home airport, buy 200 euro foreign currency with a buyback guarantee after returning home. This costs me 5 euro. Rate is crappy, but I always give the cash back at the end, so it costs me 5 euro but i never have to look for cash immediately upon arrival.

I'm preparing my first visit to Thailand and would like to stay about a week : a few days in Bangkok and a few in Pattaya. Where should I spend the weekend : in Bangkok or Pattaya?

I have used Uber for the first time this summer during my holidays in L.A. Uber is a lot better then a taxi, even one with a meter. No need for cash, you always know how long is the time for your car to arrive, drivers are friendly and helpfull because they you will evaluate them afterwards. Does anyone know if Uber is available in all cities around the country or just in Bangkok?
