I arrived late Saturday afternoon after five days in Phnom Penh having originally planned to go to the foam party at Babylon but being quite tired after not much sleep the night before, decided I wasn't in the mood. After a meal at Dick's cafe, I took the metro to Phrom Phong and walked from there to Jeyspa (10 minutes I guess), arriving around 8pm. I opted for a 90 minute scrub and oil massage for 800b. Masseurs are chosen on a tablet. Having first asked if they were all available, I made my choice. Not available. Nor the second. Having established that the guy had not understood my question, I asked him to pick out the ones that were actually physically present. And so finally a suitable and available choice was made. The room was nice, with en suite outdoor shower (I know that's a kind of oxymoron but it describes it well). The scrub part was good, Masseur naked from the start. Showering was alone until the end of the session although I could have done with his assistance getting all the grit off after the scrub part. I thought the massage part was fairly good too, and involved a nice slippery body to body segment which I wasn't expecting. Perhaps the only criticism I would offer is that i like the whole massage to have its erotic moments along the way, whereas this lacked that until the end. Perhaps we just didn't have a connection, which sometimes happens? No specific mention was made of special services (although the menu refers to a minimum tip for soft and hard services), but I wasn't too fussed as I was quite tired and relaxed by this point and happy to leave it at a simple HJ. After settling the bill/tips, the masseur gave me a lift on his mc to the top of the soi (which is actually a pretty long walk). For the evening, I went to the late show (midnight) at Hot Male. A good selection of boys there, I thought, and the show was choreographed and performed well. I wasn't up for offing anyone so left it at one drink and returned to my hotel after the conclusion. The next day, after a lot of faffing around in the dtac centre in Silom getting a Thai SIM card (why does it take so long?), I decided to head for Banana Club for the afternoon. I thought the setup here first class. Everything was very professional. The manager helped me choose a masseur and there was no embarrassment; it was all matter of fact and making sure I was going to be happy. Yes, he genuinely seemed to care. The massage itself was excellent. Clearly the guy had been professionally trained and everything reached a happy conclusion on both sides. So enamoured was I with the place, I opted for a foot massage afterwards too, in the downstairs part which seems to be doing really good business. I wasn't expecting to partake of anything else that day, but after traipsing around Terminal 21, I felt I could do with another foot treatment later that evening. A couple of boys took my eye at Mantra (not previously mentioned anywhere on this forum I believe) which is across the road and 50 yards to the right from Raya Surawong hotel, and I took a punt at a 250b 1 hour foot massage. Unlike most places, there were no reclining chairs, but mattresses on the floor in curtained 'cubicles'. I was asked to remove my shorts and put on the loose trousers used for Thai massage. The massage proceeded in the normal fashion but half way through more attention than usual was given to my legs, the masseur in an interesting position, his elbow gently massaging what was becoming a sturdy third leg. After a cheeky smile from him, it was only a matter of time before the trousers were around my ankles and his mouth doing most of the work. With negligible encouragement, his clothes also disappeared and we spent the remainder of the time rolling about blissfully and him cumming all over my face. Almost certainly we would have done more if I hadn't felt twinges of a possible stomach upset! I think I will go back when I return from Pattaya in 10 days, even though it was probably the unexpected nature of it that made it so hot. More mundanely, I changed hotels today. I stayed at the Tarntawan Place last night but had only booked one night. When I enquired about another night before arriving, they quoted me a stupid price and so I booked the Raya Surawong instead, and I'm glad. I wasn't impressed with the Tarntawan, even though I know it's a favourite with others on here. The room did not smell fresh and although they did come and spray it, the effect didn't last long. Breakfast, despite the claim to be 24 hours, had all gone by 10 am so I went to a cafe round the corner. By contrast the Raya was cheaper, included breakfast and is smart and clean, so that's where I'll stay from now on. The only issue was the check in process where I was given a form to sign with the name of a different guest and even sex. Very peculiar, even though the surnames had some similarities if you didn't listen too closely.

Notwithstanding this warning, I went to Banana this afternoon. I'll write about it in a separate trip report but all my belongings were intact at the end.

Hot Male late show tonight was midnight and lasted half a hour

It's definitely worth a day trip to the Phi Phi islands, if you're comfortable withb long bumpy speed boat rides

I arrived via a Thai airways flight from Bangkok. According to the stewardess, as I had an e-visa, I didn't need to fill in any of the forms they were handing out on the plane. Wrong. I had to suffer the humiliation of being sent to the back of the (admittedly short) queue once by the immigration officer and then by the customs officer. I'm sure I must have saved some time somewhere paying a premium for the e-visa but it's not immediately obvious. My first bout of indulgence, after a visit to the disturbing Toul Sleng Genocide museum, was a visit to Ganesh House for a 90 minute oil massage. I haven't seen it mentioned a great deal, so here's my account for the record. It didn't get off to a great start as either I picked a boy the manager didn't want me to, or he couldn't make out what letter I was referring to, but he kept trying to declare I'd chosen someone else. This happened four times, but I stuck my ground, and I'm very glad I did. I had one of the best massages I can remember having. Not rushed but beautifully and evenly executed from a cute boy who has clearly had proper training. At the end, he asked me if I wanted a special message, and there ensued a really great passionate time. All in all, I really positive experience in some great premises. More to follow..

Ha, this chart is absolutely brilliant! I've been looking through various posts trying to collate information to choose which places to visit on my forthcoming trip at the end of the month. This nicely brings it all together! Thanks

I stayed at Club One Seven last year and enjoyed my stay there. Only drawback is the long walk to the Paradise complex (around 20 minutes) and other attractions, so be prepared to get a taxi if walking isn't your thing.

Well Asiandude it would be good to know how you got on at one of the massage places...
-
Talking of Blue House, does anyone know if Kai returned after the refurbishment? He was pretty special
-
Well I'd order them a drink straight off. Engage them in conversation and it'd be very strange if they didn't come and sit with you
-
Even if you offer to buy THEM a drink?

I'm with you on that: a topless (well defined) boy in jeans or towel is a joy to behold!

I had an oil massage yes. If you have Thai massage at the Blind place, you are partially clothed in an open room with others. Most of the oil massages I've had there were in curtained off 'cubicles' (bit like a hospital ward). On the one occasion I mentioned, I was in a private room to the left at the top of the stairs. To be honest, I like the Blind massage place because they're well trained and professional and I like the ethos of the place. I would feel I was cheapening it by asking or expecting anything over and above. As to QM, I sat and had a drink with the guy and we got talking and developed a 'rapport'. So moving up to their massage room was a natural development!

The blind massage place is predominantly only massage (oil and Thai), and very good it is too. I did on one occasion have a different masseur than my usual preference who offered a hand job, but it's the only time, so I wouldn't expect it. I had a massage from a Cambodian guy at Question Mark which was memorable for all the right reasons.

Apparently so, according to their website. At least it calls itself naturist friendly, but I've not heard of it until you mentioned it. You can also sunbathe nude at Baan Souy on their roof terrace as I have done on several occasions, but not be nude elsewhere on the premises.

Hi Colmx, it's pretty low key with only about three bars and a couple of massage places in Chaweng town. We walked past the gay bars in Soi Solo near the hotel, none of which seemed particularly busy and didn't stop ourselves as the bf wasn't keen. It's said that Samui is a place for couples rather than singles and I think I agree.

Regarding the tip, from memory I think it was 700, but I tipped 1,000. I take the view that if a boy does everything I ask willingly and really gets into it (even if curtailed at my option), that's fair. I stayed at the Samui Beach Residence Hotel, again near the boxing stadium. A good gay-friendly slightly eccentric hotel!

I haven't seen any recent information about massage experiences outside of Bangkok and Pattaya, so I thought I'd contribute a short report on a couple of experiences I had in Koh Samui in December 2015. This is my first contribution here so be gentle! Staying in Chaweng, I first visited Thaiboy Men's Spa which is close to the Thai Boxing stadium. Arriving at around 5pm, on approach to the place, I made eye contact with a really cute guy just getting on to his mc outside. As he saw me go inside the shop, he changed his mind, and followed me in. I was encouraged to sit on a sofa with a drink of water and look at the menu of offerings. The masseurs, only 5 of them, gathered in front of me. I was already encouraged by the cute guy deciding to stay, so the choice was pretty easy but I'd have been happy with most of these guys; just as well given the limited choice. I was offered the chance of a shower but declined as I'd only just showered at the hotel. Not sure if the masseur would have joined me, so perhaps I missed something through inexperience! The room was nice, slightly cool so i asked for the air con to be turned down a notch. There were three floor mattresses separated by a curtain so little privacy but I was the only customer so not a problem. The oil massage was good, performed in underwear with some nice touches and body positioning on the way. Towards the end, he deftly removed his underwear and things became very intimate. As I was travelling with my boyfriend, I wasn't up for sex (I'm old fashioned like that) but enjoyed a nice time of cuddling and kissing - it was hot and set me up nicely for returning to my boyfriend. I'd definitely visit again if I return to Samui. My second visit was to Emerald Spa, an upmarket place slightly north of Chaweng. For this, I was really after pampering not sex, and despite the cost, I would strongly recommend it if that's what you're after. The facilities are great, lockers, plentiful fluffy towels, clean showers and private rooms. I opted for the 'princess package' which included a body scrub and oil massage with cute masseur Tao if I remember correctly. All very professional and yet sexy at the same time. Really beautiful relaxing place and a good place to go for several hours. So nothing salacious in this report, but I'm returning alone to the region (Cambodia, Bangkok and Pattaya) in March so hope to sample the full delights offered at that time.

Really? My experience is that, strangely, Thai people are quite shy and nudity is frowned upon. Even in Babylon, you can't sunbathe nude around the pool.

Ha, the fortune telling sticks. I've had exactly the same experience. Really made me laugh.

I have recently started using a service called Revolut. You get a physical ATM card, can load your account instantly with GBP, EUR or USD through a very simple mobile App, and get interbank bank rates when withdrawing cash at any ATM. The only charge currently is the 200B levied by the ATM provider. Happy to provide more details if anyone interested, including a referral code!
