There are two reason I didn't counter offer (I've read enough posts on here from others to figure out what's fair): I very much doubt the boy would have got more than 1000B of the 3000B so his cut would no doubt have been severely reduced. Secondly I think if you're going to quote unrealistic prices, you deserve to get no business until you do.

I was definitely quoted 3,000. At the prices you suggest I would have agreed but in the end we both lost out

Arrived at Suvarnabhumi on Monday morning to massive queues at immigration. Went to the far left queue and had a stroke of luck when an official ushered me round a screen into the area reserved for Thai Royal Silk customers. In and out in 15 minutes maximum! Took the metro to Silom and walked to the Raya hotel where I'd booked the previous night to be sure of an early check in. I've grown to like this hotel now I'm accustomed to the quirks designed to inflict pain on the unwary, such as the wood plinth around the bed, the large step across the bathroom door and the tiny step down into the corridor outside the room. Once unpacked, showered and relaxed, I headed to The Prime massage for a 2 hour jet lag busting oil massage. I have to say it was one of the best I've had anywhere. All very professional. Curiously I found myself massively aroused through the whole thing even though there was no explicit sexual element to massage (other than very sensual and intimate touches), much more so than if had gone to Arena, for example. Perhaps it's just the way my mind works: the thought of the potential is more exciting than the certainty! Passed some time at Bunfe's cafe fielding unrewarding messages on Hornet but no one who took my fancy. After dinner, I was approached in the street by a guy who led me into Super A. I've seen some discouraging reports about the place, but there was a reasonable selection of about 8 boys, including one guy who looked to be packing quite a punch in his tight boxers. But I picked a cute Laos boy to come and sit with me and share a drink and a bit of a fondle. I found it distinctly off-putting to be effectively stared at by the other 7 boys plus the two guys running the place who continually pestered me to take the boy to an upstairs room, for 3,000b which I thought was rather a lot, so mentally I decided to annoy them by not doing so. I was quite pleased when a couple of other customers came in and took the pressure off. After a couple of drinks I settled my bill and tipped the boy for his nice smile and erotic cuddle. I wandered past the Golden Cock, somewhere I've never been, and took one look at the motley crew outside and decided it would remain unvisited. After a cup of tea and ice cream at Dick's, I headed to Mantra massage where I've had some success with a surprising end to a foot massage. Disappointingly, I was told 'no foot massage', so onwards to Nature Boy where there were 4 boys on the stage. I picked one to come and sit with me and it wasn't long before I was fondling and sucking his nice thick cock. I didn't feel like offing, so after tipping and settling the drinks bill, I headed to Art next to the Raya for the foot massage. A very cute guy was massaging the guy next to me and we kept exchanging glances and smiles. As I bent down to put my shoes back on, he whispered 'oil massage?' to me. Very tempting but by this stage it was getting so late I thought it might be rushed, but I whispered back that I'd consider coming back tomorrow... I returned to the hotel and enjoyed a brief visit from a boy who'd been messaging on Hornet. A short time but very sweet and a good end to the first day. The second day I paid a visit to Muang Boran, which I think very worthwhile. I had a pleasant time cycling round the place until I got a puncture. I was hoping to have the oil massage with the cute guy from Art but disappointingly he appeared not to be working today. Why he didn't mention this the previous night I don't know. A missed opportunity. I really need to understand the importance of carpe diem in Thailand. Deferred arrangements often don't happen!

I've tried them all, apart from number 5 which I've not noticed - perhaps it's new since my last visit in October last year? The best experience of the ones you list was at #4. Good rooms (I think it was formerly a small hotel) and all performed naked and enthusiastically. I went for a foot massage at #3. Guy spent the whole time trying to persuade me to go into the back room. I finally caved in and ended up with a bit of body to body time. The others were distinctly average. The main thing is that there's rarely anyone I find personally attractive sitting outside. The best experience, though, was with a Cambodian lad at QM bar (not listed in your map).

I haven't stayed at Poseidon but I've used the Agate several times and never had a problem. It's always been fairly empty though. I'm surprised it's still in business. But it's a beautiful hotel with excellent breakfasts.

I've had many massages at the Blind Institute at very good prices. All of them excellent, but don't expect anything other than a massage.

It was Stephane. I'm not sure what the other guys do or when.

Had a few days in Bangkok en route somewhere else, so I thought I'd indulge in a few massage places I hadn't previously tried and I'm happy to share my experiences. First up was Art Massage, a shop along the Surawong road (same side as Tarntawan Place). I chose this as I took a liking to the boy sitting outside. He showed me up to the second floor, with separate rooms (though walls not fully up to ceiling height), and a single shower room along the same corridor. As I appeared to be the only customer, I took a risk at leaving my clothes and money in the room while I took a shower. It was a good massage, with just the right mix of actual massage and sensual/erotic moves that keep you interested throughout. At one point, he asked me if I was gay and then affirmed that he was too. Armed with that information, he shed his own clothes shortly afterwards and the final part of the session was concluded with some mutually enjoyable fun. Overall, an excellent time. For a potentially different experience, I booked a session at Dr Bear in Sukhumvit. Making the arrangements via WhatsApp was easy enough, and the place is upmarket by general standards. In fact, so was the massage, a selection of Ob-orn and Organ II which I selected on the clipboard I was given at the start. For two hours, it was a combination of bliss and some of the unexpected, a truly professional experience. I've had something similar in London for four times the price. Expensive for Bangkok, mind, but I thought it good value. Another day resulted in total frustration: I thought I'd go to S52, only to find when I got to the premises that it's closed with another occupant there. I thought I'd searched around on the forum to check it was still operating and I don't recall any reference to it's closure. As I was in the right area, I thought I'd visit Boys Club, one stop further down the line. But although as it turned out, I was right outside, the lack of any sort of sign, made me doubt, and confused by some out of date addresses and telephone numbers provided by Google, I gave up. After all, you don't want to randomly slide back doors without having some assurance it's the right place. I did, however, return to Boys Club a couple of days later, spurred on by some good reports and useful information provided by other members. When I went, Sunday lunchtime, there was only one boy on duty. I was happy enough although the boy didn't speak Thai or English which made communication a little difficult. I tried to request 90 minutes oil massage (having not been asked or given a price at reception) but after some false starts, the boy said he could only do 60 but 'would try'. This didn't exactly help my mood and I came to the conclusion that the session would be a bit of a dud. His massage skills were ok, but it was lacking any kind of sexual tension which, of course, makes the experience exciting, even though he was also naked from the start. After he'd done my legs and bum, he asked me to turn over, at which point I thought I'd try and move things up a gear. As a trained masseur myself, I got more actively involved, something which got the session going and the boy joined in very enthusiastically. He was a sweet lad (with a great cock) and we both ended up very happy. I think it goes to show that sometimes the best experiences are when you least expect it. In general, I, for one, tend to prefer going to the 'less obviously gay' places (like Art above) where you're not sure how things will pan out, and so you're pleasantly surprised when they turn out well. Plus you're likely to have had a good massage along the way.

I think this is very unlikely. Just went past the old premises and a new building is in progress on the site. No chance of it opening next month by the look of it

update to my posting __ i have met a kind and nice thai guy

Such a familiar story! When I look back over the last two years, I've had to be firm about money. For people who are quite poor, they seem to have no shame in spending other people's money. I resolved to keep a tight rein on things to see if my guy would stick around, and he has done so. It's difficult to say no, but it has to be done. That said, I've not experienced temper tantrums of the sort described here and as others have said, I think he is one to avoid. -
I can't see this advert on the TMB site. I'm currently staying on Sukh soi 11 so if you can give me the plot number, I'll happily check it out

I continued my Thailand visit with 12 days in Pattaya. I had a couple of nights to enjoy the attractions before my boyfriend was to arrive from a family engagement. Staying in Jomtien, which I prefer to Boystown simply because it's more relaxed and quieter, I frequented the bars in the centre there, enjoying the drinking companionship of the boys at Boy Gaga. I opted for a foot massage at Happy Massage next to 'Mixer and Quiche Bar' (there's a combination for you). The foot massage was good but for a solid hour I was encouraged by the masseur to let him see more than my feet, and eventually he seduced me into the back room where we delighted in enjoying some carnal activity. The next day, having wandered up to the Boystown and Sunee areas just to see what I might be missing, I eschewed the massage shops there and opted for a four-hand at Sea Massage, on the second road. This was the first time I'd tried this, and whilst it was actually a generally positive experience, I'm not sure I'd bother again. Both boys remained fully clothed, although when one of them left at the end, the other removed his t shirt but that was as far as he'd go. It ended happily for me at least. Once my boyfriend arrived, I opted for massages at The Bind Massage Institute: always very good and straight, so no extra curricular activities to report. Some restaurants I think worth going to include Yupins, Natan's, L'Olivier and Sandbar. I stayed at the Agate, a beautiful new hotel in Jomtien centre. It's sad to see occupancy so low at such a nice place. I had hoped to meet up with another forum member in a couple of days when we were both in town, but my boyfriend was very keen to have me to himself so that put paid to that.

I have to say I can't recommend the Mercure at all. Its proximity to your desired club is all it has going for it. I found this to be a hotel where none of the staff cared in the slightest about the guests, with management nowhere to be seen.

Anddy, go to Mantra for a foot massage and you'll find out! It's not performed in the more usual sitting position. I'll check the soi again, but I'm sure it's the one you are referring to, and if so the shop is on the right hand side as you walk from Silom.

I stayed at the Raya in April. It's a good location, the rooms were large, clean, with comfortable beds (although with an annoying plinth around them), with a peculiar shower and toilet based in a glass box so you're in full view of the occupants of the room, if any. There are blinds but it struck me as odd nonetheless. I don't recall looking out of the window so I cannot comment on the view. Breakfast was a bit sparse and stops being served quite early (maybe 10) so I stopped bothering and went to the Bunfe cafe over the road. Check-in was ok but they didn't seem to want to accommodate early or late arrival or departure, even if rooms might have been available. I'm basing this on the fact that agoda was showing rooms available even though they did there weren't. Wi-Fi was good. Depending on what floor you are on, you don't have to go past reception. I would stay there again, although I've just tried Glow this time around. That was comparable (I had an upgraded room but WiFi was unsatisfactory)

My second visit to Bangkok this year and I decided to visit a couple of places highlighted by some members of the forum- so a grateful thanks to you for trip reports. A member mentioned Oasis Spa, opposite the Bangkok Nursing Hospital, so I thought I'd try it out as it was near my hotel.. I opted for a 2 hour combination oil and foot massage, as an antidote to jet lag. I asked the masseur to make sure I didn't fall asleep, which he dutifully did whenever I appear to have dozed off. Both massages were excellent, and it seemed that nothing else was going to happen , and actually I would have felt quite content if it hadn't. However, I was pretty aroused by the end and when he suggested more was on offer I took his kind a encouragement and so we ended the session both naked on the table for a joint finish. Nice facilities and staff. After a short nap and some food, I ventured to a place I wouldn't have found without this forum: Nature boy. As the only customer, I had the undivided attention of both boys on duty at that time (maybe 8pm), and subsequently a third, all of us removing our underwear at one point for a joint session in the bar. Never done anything like this before, such is my sheltered life. I think I'd have found it better if I wasn't concerned at the possibility of someone else just walking into the bar, nonetheless a good time was had by all. After a brief stop at Dick's, I decided a foot massage was in order at Mantra, just over the road from the infamous sois. This proved an unexpectedly rewarding experience back in April, and I'm pleased to say the place delivered again. On the whole, I think I enjoy the will it/won't it happen suspense at these smaller places than the more organised (and expensive) massage places designed exclusively for men. On the way back to the Hotel, I was enticed into Tawan, also a first for me. Much of the show I could take or leave to be honest, but at least the jerk off bit is unique to anything I've seen in a previous bar. I rather admire the ability to do that to order and in pubic as I'm not sure I could. Finally heading back to the hotel, I passed a small massage place in silom soi 3 with an absolute stunner of a guy outside. Despite my exertions today, I was surely tempted, but after a bit of encouraging eye contact decided I wouldn't get the full value out of it. But I will return to Bangkok in a couple of weeks, and I'll try it out and let you know what it's called.

It's a great report, thanks

I tipped 1,000b.

Faranglaw, they sure do

Not sure I can explain it...Perhaps because I'm not used to the process. Maybe once I've done it a few more times, it won't. Perhaps I need to think of it more as the commercial transaction it is!

Returned to Bangkok yesterday and decided to visit The Prince Spa. Wow! What an amazing selection of fit guys. I think I could have just had a random assignment such is the quality and beauty of the guys. Ok I did find the selection process a little intimidating/embarrassing but I was pleased with my choice. The rooms are really comfortable and clean and a very pleasant 90 minutes was spent in the company of a 26 year old gorgeous Thai boy. I was certainly happy!

The visit to Pattaya was much more constrained as I was meeting up with my boyfriend there. Staying in the heart of the Jomtien complex, I was rarely allowed to venture out on my own for fear that I might be ensnared by alternative entertainment. This was almost comical sometimes, but I really like walking through the complex and engaging in banter with the boys and see no harm in a bit of flirting. I just about managed a foot massage at Soda massage (competent but uneventful) and an oil massage at the place opposite Ganymede that's taken over a former restaurant premises. This was a good experience that ended happily. I had a couple of oil messages at the Blind Institute which is always excellent and above board. Several nights we ate at Dick's (I think the food is better here than the one in Bangkok). Show wise, we visited The Venue and enjoyed it immensely, and Boyzboyzboyz which, to be honest, bored me. I'd rather have just let the boys wander around than try and perform in such a disjointed production. Perhaps I'm expecting too much. Nonetheless the boys themselves were great and an excellent number available from which to choose. It was good to see a bit more life in the Jomtien complex generally. It's a nice relaxed scene there and I hope it grows.

Depends on the date format. More likely 5th November?
