Short answer No! :-). but i would pick Rio as it is more a vacation destination then São Paulo imho. Think of São Paulo as a much bigger NYC and Rio as a bigger Miami! plus you have 4 saunas all relitively close to each other in Rio! Either way you are bound to have a good time!

No to my knowledge none of the suites were changed, junior took me on a tour of the place when I was there two months ago and this was the third change to the top level(smoking area) and by far the best.

Years ago, around 2004 or 5, Rogers sauna put a jacuzzi next to the bar! it looked like a large Barrel the age whiskey in! You had to step up on 3 stairs to get in, and there was no way you could accomplish this gracefully! i saw i boy and one customer use it! Rogers closed a short time later.

Pointe’s bldg is owned by the family that owns the Atlantico Hotel a few blocks down the street. Pointe was originally planned to be razed in 2014 to put a hotel there as Rio offered Huge Tax benefits and incentives to the owners of new hotels if they could be completed before the 2016 Olympics! But the owner missed the deadline for filing so Pointe stayed where it is but their lease is up in the end of 2019 or early 2020! the property values have increased exponentially (think Hell’s kitchen in Manhatten). the same thing with Lagoa, their lease is up in a year and the property will be sold to Condo developers. the property is tentiveky scheduled for a 20+ story condo i was told.

that’s not been my experience! My experience has been solely the orthopedic field, before i started my own company i managed a 8 state area for a major corp., hiring and managing over 130+ reps, since the average pay for sales reps in Orthopedics in the 90’s and up to 2009 was over 150,000./yr , i had los angeles and san diego reps making on average $350- $500,000. a year! they definitely were not dumb as rocks!

There were several studies done a few years ago showing “more attractive” job applicants were disproportionately offered positions with companies and at higher salaries! In the medical field, medical sales people are definitely more attractive and in better physical shape then the average person! They hire type “A” personalities and it is a big plus if they played college sports! One major Medical company currently have that requirement for employment on the west coast! Pharmaceutical companies seem to hire primarily attractive women 23 - 30 years old , to answer your question Lucky, i have found a lot of them do not have a realization that they are treated better because of their looks! they think everything they have achieved work wise is thru their efforts! not their looks! yet you will find that most of them are vain(this is my view based on 30+ years of working with the above!

Axiom you sound like a school teacher... i have been staying in Apts for 8 years now in Brazil, 4 X a year, and usually 2 sometimes 3 different cities! so roughly 45+ times and they have All said “no overnight guests or non registered guests”! I have had overnight guests every time, every night! including my last stay where the owner of the apt lived next door and 5 guys were staying with me!

As someone who grew up in Mpls., and went to st. cloud state and moved to Calif. 30 years ago, Let me say welcome! i post 99% of the time in the South of the border section.

I would skip Florinopolis as far as the sauna scene goes! there is only one rent boy sauna, if it is still opened and never had more then a couple guys in there. Also you are going during the Brazilian winter which in Florinaopolis is cold and the town slows way down! it is a tourist city from November to March! But worth a visit just not for the sauna scene! Curitiba is a pretty city that also has snow in the winter as it is i think at 5,000 ft elevation, 2 saunas, one is ok but not worth going to Curitiba specifically for the sauna you will be disappointed compared to Rio or SP, imho Porto Alegre is my favorite sauna physically, and can be very good or very bad, just depends on the night! Mixx Bar is a favorite place of mine because it is like(and the last)old fashioned hustler bar around! 1/2 the guys in there will be guys from the sauna that didn’t make any money earlier and 1/2 are just local guys looking for some cash for the weekend. there are 3 rooms scattered around the bar you can rent for a 1/2 hour, i would not recommend taking Bar Mixx guys back to your hotel as they probably wouldn’t get by security.
