There is another possibility why US citizens might choose Hotels. Credit Card companies give away lots of points and sometimes , a Hotel is chosen because it is free and no way AirBnb can beat that price!. A.so people who work for big companies may roll up lots of points on business and silly to let them sit there.  When the Luxury is free, it tastes even better>

No, it just means that if I hadn't been using them, perhaps those 3 times would have been 30. I even knew a feller once who got into a taxi from Club 117 with a stranger and rode to a favela looking for his dream boy while his friends waited for his return or the notice of his death.  We all live and learn and I would not do many things in the present that I did in the past. That is not just in Brazil but in all the places I travel.

In much of the world it does matter what the customer thinks , but maybe not at Gay Bars in some countries or generally in Thailand.

Interesting discussion but the Bottom Line is it makes no difference what we think. The Bars will do what is good for them financially and those who don't like women can either not go to those Bars ( Most of the Good Ones) or learn to live with it.  It appears the majority have learned to live with it! Just like many complained in BKK when drink prices kept going up and up .  But the Bar owners knew they could get away with it because the Chinese etc did not care .  So most have learned to pay the prices or change their destination to Pattaya.

I’ll stand by my post . It’s based on my personal experiences of more than 20 visits.   Jupiter and Dreamboys will draw more women than the other gogo’s.  Also everybody posts “to many women “.  What is to many.  I have friends that don’t want any. But  2 or 3 to much? Or is 10 to many?  This is a subject that has no absolute answer. 

to me this Woman in the strip clubs in Bangkok/Pattaya is getting blown way out of proportion by the typical few that like to complain about everything in forums.  When guys post about women in clubs they never say how many.   I have been to Jupiter many times. Rarely is there more than 4 or 5 and they are with boyfriends.  There aren’t raging bachelorette parties going on.    You will see more on weekends.
 Sometimes Dreamboys will have more than a few because they cater to Chinese tour groups.   If I hang out 7 nights, you won’t see any women 5 nights.    I get it, some guys just don’t want any women around.  But these same guys that are complaining aren’t spending enough money to sustain these places.  And yes, many of the boys are straight or bi, so they encourage the women.    They are mostly going for the shows, so only there for an hour or so.  They rarely off a boy.   Mostly have a couple drinks, watch the show and they head out.   
 

So found some free time today and had this cutey from gayromeo come over for an hour or so. Great time was had an I gave him about $80

I guess if by locals , you mean ex pats then certainly that could be true . Certainly not true from real locals.  One of differences between Brazil and Thailand. In Brazil most of the customers are really locals.

The good thing with Jack'd , and Hornet you can search where you are going in advance and just say Hi. Make a comment they are cute or sexy.
If they contact me I am relatively sure they expect money and just let the chat go that way. If they don't respond at all I erase them so as not to be confused.
I almost always have 1 or 2 possibilities weeks in advance and then wait until I get there for additional options. I have rarely not found a cute companion.
Also Gayromeo has an Escort Section which can be quite interesting but I always look in the regular section also. I don't waste my time sending messages to anyone who has not been on line in the last 7 days.
I think many do not have thoughts of a commercial encounter but when faced with some easy money , they become somewhat interested .

You may be right about China but it is amazing how you have been on this Forum for 2 weeks and a member for 2 weeks and you are an expert on everything.
And with all your expertise you are one of 2 members who managed to get themselves attacked in Brazil. Don't think I'll be taking any advice from you on anything!
