People who say they liked Tree of Life are just being pseudo intellectuals. They want us to think that only they could see the greatness in this movie mess. Two of my favorite movies are Old Yeller and Harold and Maude. I liked The Godfather too.

I wanted to book a trip to Chicago to see a play, but it turned out that all of the non-stop flights cost 50,000 miles. So I though maybe it wasn't worth it. The cost to fly was $314. But, if I added that to the cost of hotels, etc, it made the trip not so worth it. So I stewed about it all day. Then I remembered that I had an AAdvantage credit card that rewarded "Thank You" points which were the equivalent of miles, so I checked to see what that would do for me. Bingo. I not only got the non-stop flights, I got them for 23,500 miles and no $10.00 fee. I had a few points left in the account, so I booked a rental car that cost me nothing in money, and the points I used would not have been enough to use on a flight so would have been wasted. Then I went to book the play, and found that they had set back one week the sale of individual tickets. Only subscribers could buy now. I wrote the box office to ask why they did that, and explained that I had plans to make. They wrote back and gave me a code I could use to buy my ticket now! So, yes, a little work, but I got what I wanted at less cost than I was willing to pay. I realize that you might not care, but I had to tell someone!

Adam Smith, Harasser of Chick-Fil-A Employee, Apologizes: VIDEO Yesterday, Andy reported on the firing of Adam Smith -- the avowedly, loudly heterosexual Tucson man whose video of himself berating a Chick-fil-A employee went viral this week. It seems Mr. Smith reported to work the day after posting his video and learned that his employer, the medical supply company Vante, had been pelted with hate mail and angry phone messages in the night. Smith was first instructed not to post any further videos, and then he was canned. Having been canned, he was able to post more videos, and did Read more: http://www.towleroad.com/2012/08/adam-smith-harasser-of-chick-fil-a-employee-apologizes-video.html#ixzz22b7aFkAW

Looks to me like he is going for the gold!

Yes, of course it is. But so far the court has not upheld his argument, even if it looks likely that they will. BTW, it sure looked like no one was home here, so it was gratifying to know that you were monitoring the board should terrorist strike!

If Craig had said that he had immunity from criminal prosecution while traveling as a member of Congress, he would have been laughed at. This is the same to me. Once he began breaking the law, he was not on official business.

An Oregon teacher boasted after having sex with her young students: "No jail for me and that is only because of luck … no witnesses coming forward," the message reads. "He said he was of legal age, but he lied. I just can't help wanting these hot young boys … and they want me. Who am I to spoil a young man's fantasy. Damn." Huffington Post reports: Kristle Vandever, a former English as a second language teacher in Oregon, has lost her teaching license for engaging in sexual activity with "one or more students" and providing underage students with alcohol. But now, some are wondering why she's not in jail. She resigned her job in 2010. And then it took two years to revoke her license. But, no jail term. Huff Post goes on: Video of some activity was captured on a cell phone and shared with other students. But that wasn't enough evidence to prove a crime, local police told KEPR. I guess those young boys really did like it! How could that be? Don't they know that they were violated?

Besides admitting that he peed in the Olympic pool: http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/london_2012_olympics/swimmer_lochte_admits_to_urinating_bDOXcK7CYb71QwkE8Y4iYM He doesn't look to smart in these interview segments featured at SFGate.com: http://blog.sfgate.com/olympics/2012/08/02/ryan-lochte-great-swimmer-terrible-interview/ But, his mom is making a little mistake in interviews herself. With two daughters, you would think she wouldn't brag that her son only has one night stands! But, she is now wishing she hadn't said that.

Four Aces, we have more in common now. I have put on the pounds that I lost and the doc is telling me to lose them. So I am back at the gym and hoping to lose some weight. It is hard on my knees and hard on my heart. I am getting to the point where if I had a hard on myself I couldn't see it!!! (:

Hehe..my dogs have taught me the art of licking, so I think I'd be there too!

At the gym today, while on the treadmill, I had the choice of watching a CNN report on genital mutilation of women (it's a scandal!) or FOX News. I picked FOX. First they had a fairly well-balanced panel on the job report- fair in that it had one Obama supporter versus 2 against. Then they did a Chick Fil-A story, lamenting that the mainstream media ignored the support shown. Only conservative regional media in the south reported it, they said. Then they brought on discredited former NYTimes reporter Judith Miller, without saying that she had been discredited. It was nauseating and I had to turn it off.

Not only that, his doctor had told him that with his low viral load the chances of him infecting anyone were slim to none. But, think abut this. The other guy. Should he not have the right to decide- for himself- if he wishes to engage in sex with a HIV positive guy? I believe in putting your cards on the table. But not a lengthy prison sentence

And what about the fact that he was adjusting his jeans when he left? And that wet spot?

Oz, thanks for joining in. I see that you are, so far, the only one. I wonder how many guys are reluctant to say what they are reading lest they be jumped on for their reading tastes? I like reading and do so to please myself. If I am not highbrow enough, tough! I am sure having a good time.

Well, who would we say it to? His family? His friends? Not likely. We'd be saying it to each other and that wouldn't be worth a lick of spit. I didn't know this guy and sure wish he hadn't suffered the misfortune that he did. But how many guys have to die before others catch on that they are playing a deadly game? We see regular deaths among these porn actors, yet they don't seem to think the same thing can happen to them. To be so stoned that you can't cross a street means you should stay inside. I understand that youth often feel immortal, but they have had so many warnings now that it's hard to feel sympathetic. And where is the wisdom of going to Mexico to do drugs? Has the reputation of the Mexican prison not been told to porn actors? Am I being too harsh? I repeat, I wish this had not happened, but it was predictable.

An HIV positive Iowa man used a condom to have sex with an HIV negative man but was later arrested and imprisoned for not telling the guy he was HIV positive. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, placed on Iowa’s sex offender registry and owes tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees, court costs and restitution. The other man did not contract the virus. Read about the cops showing up with weapons, arresting and jailing him. Read on to see how his legal battle is going: http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2012307290070&nclick_check=1
