  3. Okay, as one who is choosing to ignore the alternate-reality Daddy, I did want to note as lookin did that this thread received a huge number of views. No doubt people on the other site still attract attention here. Strange though, that that site does not have numerous popular threads about MER. I reiterate my opinion that this site can stand on its own without using the other site as fodder for topics. The August Challenge is going well. Many threads are now spilling over onto a second page. So we can take credit for that- hey, it's the communal we- and I look forward to continued success. Let's not get distracted more than I/we have.
  4. Are you sure it is the same whipped guy that we all know? I'll test him: Who did the Yankees play tonight and how many home runs did A-Rod hit?
  5. I deleted this post since I had not seen Oz's choice to move on when I wrote it. LOL- But then he quoted it. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. I thought all was well when Friday the 13th passed unremarked.
  6. I'm gay. I want to socialize with men. End of story.
  7. Oz, I have no trouble going for door number 4. I think that is the best approach to take. Someone had some fun, now it's over, let's move on.
  8. UPDATE: I have it on very good authority that the new Daddy posting here is not the Daddy from the other site. I believe these sources.
  9. Not a bad surmise, alanalt. The headline alone does not seem to be something that Daddy at the other site would start out with. The other giveaway is that this daddy says I was a poor moderator, yet the real Daddy thought I was a great moderator and tried hard to keep me on the job.
  10. What were the other two?
  11. Keep those posts coming, Daddy! I speak in the collective we, that of a community of guys who have come together to post on subjects of interest to them, and in a spirit of camaraderie and friendship. It's the same spirit that prevails in your message center, where one can use the word "we" to refer to the collective group, and even feel comfortable speaking for that group on appropriate occasions. "We" are gay men of similar interests who are happy to share our thoughts on the different boards available to us.
  12. Welcome to the forum, Daddy. It's just been a few days since we renamed the Pub as Lucky's Place and already you have seen fit to sign up. Your new membership here comes at a time when we are running The August Challenge. As part of that challenge, we are attempting to set a course where this message center thrives upon the contributions of its members, and does not rely on warfare or complaining about other websites. So far we have done exceedingly well. So, welcome as you are, we do ask that you honor the spirit of the August Challenge and not attempt to spark controversy over other websites. The management of those sites is free to conduct such discussions on their own space if they see fit. Now, join in the fun, be a positive contributor here, and perhaps even make some new friends.
  13. Throughout the country many sugar daddies are taking their young, over 18, dates to see Scott Pilgrim v. The World. Good luck- it's one of the strangest movies I have ever seen! The bf kept laughing, so we stayed, but I didn't get much of it. I'll read the reviews later to see what I missed. http://movies.nytimes.com/2010/08/13/movies/13scott.html?ref=movies
  14. Two weeks after posting this, killertut apparently left the site. He hasn't posted since.
  15. Very well written, Oz. You must have put a lot of effort into the research too.
  16. He is not an asshole! Look at these pix taken last Sunday where he is nice to a little kid, all the while looking shirtless and bronzed! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/09/cristiano-ronaldo-shirtle_n_676119.html
  17. How was that paper convention?

  18. Keep those posts coming just like a monsoon brings the rains!

  19. I caught the show for the first time last night. I agree- I was rooting for the cute guy. His dancing was so good. The number with the boyfriend was great. The emcee, though, was really annoying.
  20. Interesting article. KY Top. We all like to bash the umpires at times-"Kill the ump!!!-but this incident was quite different. Hopefully it leads to greater education and acceptance.
  21. Huffington Post is having some fun showing unintentionally homoerotic ads of yesteryear. Try it, it's fun!: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/13/the-most-homoerotic-vinta_n_663796.html
  22. The WSJ today has an article on new designs in shirts that change color when the temperature changes. Some actually show slogans when you sweat. Cool, huh? There is even underwear that features plastic dots that are meant to improve the wearer's posture. Scientists are are working on developing fabrics with sensors that can track changes in blood pressure, pulse rates, and other signs of stress, as well as signs that a wearer is falling down. What will they think of next? Underwear that cleans up semen spots or even skid marks?
