    The Bad Back

A couple of years ago I went to physical therapy after many chiropractor visits. The guy was great. his objective was to teach me how to avoid the problem, not to keep me coming in to see him. So he gave me some simple exercise to do when the back started acting up. It worked well for the two years- not a single chiro visit. But, almost ten hours in a compact car did my back in to the point that I had to have some relief. Besides the shot, I am doing chiro again. I think the spacing of the shots is up to me, with two weeks being the minimum time.
  5. What about Lyndon B. Johnson- the last effectual president the US had, and the one who led the great civil rights reform?
  6. On July 3d I put my back out, and it made me miserable for weeks. Finally, last week I went for an epidural, which is essentially a cortisone shot into the afflicted area near the spine. It was my sciatic nerve that was being pinched, and boy that shot hit it just right. Now I feel re-born, almost young again as I can bend over on command. (Boy, was the bf frustrated when I couldn't!) So, have you had this procedure? How long will it last? They say I need two more, spaced two weeks apart. But I feel fine now...can't you see how much cheerier I am?
  7. So, now that we can't buy just about anything not mad in China, what recourse do we have? I bought a TV this week. All the models were made in China. Wanna buy dog food, it's mostly made in China with God knows what. MS- I feel for your nephew having too spend time in Ho Chi. I was there 2 years ago and the place is pure chaos. Lots of young people, all on miniscooters that take over the roads and allow no pedestrians, at all. Going to Chinatown we couldn't look at any shops because of the bikes riding up on the sidewalks in every direction!
  8. Another movie I watched (for the second time) on Netflix was Trick. Boy, that's a good one.
  9. I remember waiting in line to see the Blue Lagoon at the Cinerama Dome in Los Angeles. All the gay guys were quite excited, including me.
  10. Remember Ray Gosling, the BBC guy who went public with killing his suffering lover many years ago? "I picked up the pillow and smothered him until he was dead". He repeated the claims in a later interview, and now, it turns out it was all a lie. Investigation shows he couldn't have done it, so police are considering charging him with "wasting police time." http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/aug/20/ray-gosling-charged-partner-aids From towleroad.com: Said Gosling regarding the charges: "I'm sorry if the police think they wasted their time. It was a small item on a regional TV programme, Inside Out, to my people, with whom I have had an intimate relationship. It got out of hand that winter evening. I had had a week or two talking to people who had told me of the pacts they had had – some fulfilled with wives, lovers, husbands, who were dying in pain and some told me of pacts unfulfilled. I did not expect it to cause this fuss, I'm not joining any cause. I know what some people say, that I said what I did for publicity to promote a book I'm writing. That is absolutely not true, I haven't finished the book yet. Some people say I did it to revive a dying career. I didn't. I said it out of my heart, out of my feeling for people who had told me their intimate private stories and it got out of hand and I'm sorry."
  11. Other gay films I have enjoyed from Netflix are: The Single Man Eating Out: All You Can Eat Eating Out: Sloppy Seconds Camp Boy Culture Shelter There were others, but these I rated highly.
  12. Well, they can't be getting their information from the Politics Forum here.
  13. A few months ago, I signed up for Netflix, as going to the movies becomes less enjoyable and more expensive. But they always want you to have 6 films in your queue. So I went to Google, typed in Top Gay DVDs, and got this list from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Gay-Themed-Videos-and-DVDs/lm/2FQB48G1RYB4 I had seen several of the movies, so I just picked the ones with good ratings that I had not seen. Well, yesterday Summer Storm showed up in my mailbox. Twinklovers here will probably know all about this film, but I didn't. It's set in Germany, stars several wannabe Bel Ami types, and takes us through the story of Tobi, a boy on a rowing team in love with his straight best friend, Achim. They all go on a rowing camp trip where they meet other teams, including an all gay team of hot boys all willing to show how comfortable they are being gay at such an early age. The movie is a bit hoaky in parts, and requires one to suspend belief at different points. Lots of skin is shown, but only a quick glimpse of a butt crack. Scenes of shirtless boys masturbating, loving camera pans over the crotch, and outright seduction scenes that are well done prevail. Achim Achim is played by 22 year old Kostja Ullman, who had won my heart with his first smile. He's one of those super-handsome types who can drop a gorgeous smile in a flash, and is in charisma overload. Google him and get his images, and you too will think he is a doll. Anyway, when Tobi finally kisses him after finally losing his cherry to one of the studs on the gay team, Achim gets mad. Sultry looks become him just as well as smiles. Hard to believe that anyone here would not get some enjoyment from this movie. If you do, please let me know! In drooling over the photos of Kostja on the internet, I learned that he is now 26, maybe straight, has had a part on a German TV show, and is still a doll. His latest movie is called Punish Me, wherein he plays a 16 year old taken in by an older woman who does just that. The Daddy Posts

These have been some fun weeks at MER, and even the Daddy posts have helped us have some laughs and also come closer to an idea of what we want the message center to be for us. I think TY and Totally Oz have been good contributors while at the same time keeping their ability to be administrators open. Like one or two other people, I do occasionally let a thread or a person get to me. Then I chant the mantra that a wise old man from many years ago taught me, as we spoke in a Hindu Christian American Chapel on Polk Street in San Francisco. "They are just websites," he told me, leaning on his cane and smoking from the holy bong. So now and then I haul out that time-honored mantra and get my sense of perspective back. My background is as a trial lawyer. I often took positions in court where events could rapidly cause me to change my point of view- you had to to survive. I rarely personalized the fights I entered into in court, and often socialized with the other attorney in between cases. To me, changing your mind is a good thing, as long as you do remember your basic principles. But pragmatism has always appealed to me over stubborn pride, so if I see something that works that is a bit different from what I might have picked, I get on board. I do not strive to be universally liked here. I would consider it a failure if people agreed with whatever I said. As a result, I have had a lot of fun, and made some great friends in the process. Finally, I often post things just to get a rise out of people. It's entertaining and usually harmless fun. If it bugs you, ask yourself why, and ask yourself why you let something on an internet website bug you. It's all pixels, isn't it?

    I Have A Bong

Thanks for making me have an early morning laugh. While it is true that some of my best friends smoke pot everyday, I myself lost interest years ago. I have no idea why- I used to think that MJ was a necessary part of sex.

    I Have a Blog

The blog seems to focus a lot on sex. How is it you find the time to post here?
  17. Can you imagine what it might be like if folks here posted while high? Well, I can't. But here in California, medical marijuana scripts are as easy to get as the rolling papers are...or the bongs, if those things are still in style. Has anyone here ever posted while high on pot? I'll bet the Californians have.
  18. Speaking of airlines, this from gawker.com: You know when you get a seat on an airplane that's closer to the door and it's awesome when you're deboarding? American Airlines has now named those seats "Express Seats" and will charge you more money for them. Happy flying.
  19. Well, zipperzone, there were certainly people there whom he could trust. I certainly found many. As for the two escorts you mention, I only remember the one.

"It also leads to misunderstandings and that sort of thing." Matriz, I don't think we are misunderstanding each other at all. As for the other sort of thing, well, I won't tell if you don't. MsGuy- very funny. I liked that! In a minute I might say something else, so enjoy the compliment while you can!

Perhaps...and I am glad to know that you are following me so closely. So maybe it's you putting something up my butt, not the other way around? I think you need to remember that I am entertaining myself here as much as anything else. A 30 minute rule might take some of the fun out of it.
  23. I got 19.7 and .97, using Los Angeles as a base. Does that matter if it is only the nearest city?

    The Daddy Posts

Excuse me, but you haven't posted here since March. Then the Daddy posts come in, and so do you. I took your remarks as an admission of guilt, especially given your history as Ice Fire Wizard. If this is not correct, then I misunderstood what you were doing.
  25. restless, this post I do not understand. The guys who post in the Hooville message center have, in whole, done a great job of creating a good place to post. They created the thing, not the management. Most of the guys that post there are just like the guys who post here, (many are the same guys!) so what specifically bothered you about it?
